yea that is where I am. Same about Max. I think he is better now Horner has fucked off. At the end of the day he has petrol running through his veins. He has still won enough now. Had Hamilton got the 2021 title I wouldn't be bothered about him getting anymore. I just want him to be out front as the GOAT and that is what was stolen in 2021 not just 1 more title. If it was his 4th or 5th then meh, it was crap, but it would be mostly forgotten about now. Or had Merc gave him a car that could of won in the last few years then it wouldn't still be so sore.

I would be more than happy for another Lando title.

I wanted Piastri last year and was infuriated by not just by what his team asked of him, but that he rolled over and agreed every time (and he was simply slower late on in the season - head went). I want to see him on top and asserting himself this year as I think he has a higher ceiling.

Norris has had his Damon Hill championship!

I don't disagree with you and I'm a Max fan it's just his time has passed and in my opinion Charles is the better, but I still think Lewis can get in the mix with the right car just not Champ material now

Joking aside I still think McLaren need a hierarchy.
 
Ferrari 1 and 2 by the looks of it to me.

LeClerc for the championship? Merc in clear 2nd constructors.

Or have misinterpreted pre season? Granted this is Ferrari so they might mess it up.

They look to have the best car. Smaller turbo means they will be quick off the start, better active suspension means more stability s=and speed through slow corners. Revolutionary rear wing will mean faster straight line speed. The engine looks bulletproof. Drivers look on it. Ferrari engineers played a blinder or will they still fuck it up?

Whisper it, the new regs and no ground effect suit LH's driving more than MV. Fully expect Hamilton to give him the middle finger as he passes him on the outside while he's lapping him.

A lovely thought but Max is a fierce competitor.
 
Remember Ferrari being on top on rollout of the ground effect regs in 2022. Leclerc won a few races but Ferrari were out developed over the course of the season and fell off dramatically. Expect the same to happen again imo

Biggest issue at Ferrari is their strategy, its been poor for a few years.

Has Hamilton got his engineer yet? Another possible concern.

Say what you like about Horner, if his team had built a car that bad, he'd still have been up there on a Sky Sports bar stool telling us how disappointing it was and how they'd do everything to fix it.

Hamilton has been nowhere near Leclerc’s pace in testing, I’d be amazed if he’s fighting right at the front unless that Ferrari is an absolute rocket ship.

Ferrari do have a habit of running more glory laps than others during testing, and while the car looks good and reliable I’d be amazed if it’s the outright quickest come Australia.

"Nowhere near"? Bold statement. What are you basing that off?

I know in the first week of testing at Bahrain I watched one of those Sky Sports F1 recap vids and they said that Lewis's pace on long runs was actually better than Charles's (with the obvious caveat of different times of day, track conditions etc).

Lewis’s long runs look quick. Less variables on long runs too as they are all fuel heavy.

Whey every time Leclerc was on track he was topping the timing charts quite comfortably and Hamilton was right in the pack. I can’t imagine their low fuel qualy runs were that different it was account for that much time between them.

Don’t get me wrong I’d love for Lewis to make me look like a clown but I think the sport has passed him by now. If the Ferrari is a championship winning car he won’t be the one who wins it for them.
