Hope not.

But if you can replace a local lad as captain with a Swiss International and the sporting director that navigated the club from L1 to Premier League all in the name of progress, why wouldn't you replace the local, lifelong fan with a tourist who will pay more?

Was a really canny bloke as well, had several interesting chats with him and despite what people had said, I always found him to be very down to earth. I'm sure he'll not be looking for work for long, the vast majority of clubs would be lucky to have him.

Agree with it all but highlighted this as it was my experience as well when I’d spoken to him on a couple of occasions plus he often got stick for ‘mgt speak’ on here which was something I didn’t takeaway from him at all.
 
My only thought is that we've not had an interview or message from KS most likely because it's not his decision. Which is a shame as he definitely deserves more than to just go quietly. Wonder if we can arrange something as a display as a thanks for his work?

Progress doesn’t stand still so to speak. Got to trust the board. Club seems so professional at the minute and we have to believe they know what they are doing.
Not knowing Bruce’s full role and the fact he took over from Davison means he was always likely to improve certain aspects, the kit deal being one marker and the largest in our history plus record sales of said kit must be an indicator he is doing ok. If not he will be gone by the looks of it
 
Of course in announcements like this there's always a bit of PR spin so you never can work out whats actually going on. Did he say he was leaving so have they pushed him out beforehand? Its a board of Directors decision feels like he's been sacked? The note isn't exactly glowing in its praise for the job he's done - in fact this thread is far more appreciative. All seems a bit strange to me. Who knows? I wish him well though because to me he's the one that has made this all happen for us

Its a fair point and unfortunately if we want to continue competing then it may be the only way to go
 
I was genuinely told in the summer (by a Board members relative) that RLB was unpopular and would be gone by October. Wouldn’t surprise me if RLB is next if he was a Speakman pick!
