Seems a bit harsh to put a bit of a negative slant on it. Probably the key figure in getting us from League One to the Premier League and his role wasn't solely just player recruitment.

I’m a bit shocked, but it might actually be the best thing for us right now with the summer window coming up. KLD wants his staff to widen our transfer network — building proper contacts, connecting with other clubs, and getting to know the right people. It’s smart business, and it helps us line up better deals in the long run

Always thought it was likely when Ghisolfi came in. Arguably the markets we're shopping in aren't going to be the ones he's most familiar with and he probably wants to be leading a teams recruitment and off field set up rather than working alongside someone else. He's done an immense job overall, our set up is light years away from what it was and he's played as big a role in our rise back to, and hopefully our stability in, the premier League as anyone else
Was a really canny bloke as well, had several interesting chats with him and despite what people had said, I always found him to be very down to earth. I'm sure he'll not be looking for work for long, the vast majority of clubs would be lucky to have him.
