Glasner

Peters aren’t bought on the whim of managers anymore and clubs have succession planning in place including managers and players coaches etc.
Absolutely correct. Boardrooms now want to run the clubs totally. The title of manager is now Head Coach. My opinion is the top three in the prem are in that position because they have managers who run the club not just the first team, and don’t have interference. Saying that financially Palace were always going to do the Guehi deal , they cannot afford to lose 20 mill , with attendances bribing around 25k

Totally agree. Will Hughes is a class player; the fact that he looks like he has a permanent illness doesn't detract from this.
He’s 💯 a ginger in denial and that beard dye is fooling nobody. But that doesn’t mean he can’t be a very good footballer. Just look at Paul Scholes, or to a lesser extent, David Hopkin.

I had a lot of sympathy for him until he said "these players deserve Oliver Glasner as their manager" when I realised he's suffering a severely bruised ego.

I think Glasner's gone on like a raging fanny tbh. What an absolute melt. No club likes seeing their best players sold, but its part of football. I can't see what's to be gained by playing the victim and creating a media circus. I don't think the club have a lot to apologise for.

It could all change quickly for us. That's the nature of the Premier League for the 13 or 14 clubs outside the filthy rich elite who will get their top players picked off, one by one, have one bad season and lose their manager.
Palace have won the only domestic trophy worth winning outside of the PL. Mission accomplished. They might be playing Brighton or Brentford in a Championship game in two or three years time. That's the nature of the beast.
I take your point, but Villa don’t fall into the category of filthy rich elite and they seem to be doing ok. They are the ones who we should be looking to emulate
Sounds like Parish has called his bluff saying he wants him to stay until the end of the season and make a dignified exit.
Your move Glasner
A great response from Parrish that, backed him into a corner now

Which is exactly what he wants to happen, clearly.
This.
Made a proper point of making no changes yesterday as well. Even if it's just kids on the bench. Last 10 mins or so some fresh legs could make a big difference (like us replacing brobby who ran himself into the ground).

There was talk about Man utd in the summer but that now looks ridiculous if he's trying to get out of Palace early but they've put Carrick in as a temp measure.
Guess Man U either stick with Carrick or possibly go for someone involved at the world cup

25/26: Sold Eze - Bought Johnson, Pino & Canvot - lost £20m
24/25: Sold Olise & Andersen - Bought Nketiah, Lacroix, Sarr, Riad & Esse & made £8m
23/24: Zaha, Butland, Mihajlovic leave on frees - Bought Wharton, Franca, Henderson & Munoz - lose £67m
22/23: Sold no-one - Bought Doucore, Richards & Ahamada - lost £40m

On the face of it Palace actually look to be a reasonably well run club; living within their means, recognising when a player is peaking and getting value for them, reinvesting the funds.
Probably true. Problem as others have said is a victim of their own success, not a big enough and good enough squad to compete in Europe and maintain the level in the league

Can't see Man Utd going for him, if they wanted him they could have paid up his contract before bringing Carrick In.
Think Man Utd will be going for one of Ancelotti, Tuchel or Nagelsmann after the world cup, if they don't want it then I think they may go for De Zerbi. INEOS will want a cop out if it goes tits up again by bringing in an established name IMO.
