Dan Neil

I disagree, who would he have got in the team for?
Well we have a number of players who are worn out according to some. Rigg has managed to get minutes ahead of him, at this stage of their respective careers I don’t think Rigg is the better player.

All I’m saying mate is that if DN had of had more than a few months left on his contract & he had committed to the club when he was supposedly offered a deal, he would have seen more minutes this season than he has done.

I think he would too.

Theres been games where if he had a future here it would have made sense for him to come on.

Don’t think it will, he’d be more suited to a middling European outfit where he gets more time on the ball.

Up there, especially for an old firm club you’re expected to control a game fully or run your bollocks off, neither of which is Dan Neil.

Hope I’m wrong, in his position I’d ask for us to table what they offered and sign it. Then back myself to get in when someone gets injured or out of form. Or just study Xhaka in training til I could reliably cover.
Dan Neil does run his bollocks off like. Im not a massive Neil fan but that’s one thing you can’t accuse him of

Le bris doesn’t rate Neil, quite clearly.

He served a purpose last season.

Said this around the time they appointed Rohl but the rangers fans really seem to have PTSD about championship players after a few poor signings in recent years. Seem to be aiming the comments at Neil more than mundle as expected

He does, but not as noticeable to a crowd than say a Scott Brown would.

I love him, I think he should get a chance here and I’m not going to argue against what you’re saying because I agree.

Modern football says no which is fair enough.

Been totally chucked under the bus by the club. I understand hes not ahead of the new boys in the pecking order and i very gratful of that tpo be honest as we'd be in trouble if he was.
However to not get a look in and see the likes of onein and rigg get on before him is a terrible humiliating slap in the lads face. Hes better than them 2 by some distance. The lad was our captain ffs for 2 year.

Today i hope he plays 90mins and Granit gets a rest, as hes looked tired and leggy the last 2-3 games for me.

The quicker he goes the better imo. Sick to death of people wanting him to play, with absolutely no real rational reason.

By far the most overrated player in the squad right now.

Since when is Neil a RW...?

But Rigg has a lot more potential than Neil, he is also a more valuable player and PL experience will only positively increase his price tag. Granted the performances have got to be there.

I thought Neil was canny in the championship but he was far from dominating, was regularly caught on the ball against weaker opposition and the consistency wasn't there. I did hope he'd develop into a decent PL squad player, but it's clear that either the club don't fancy him (they see him day in, day out), or he himself wants away in which case, what's the point of playing him? We'll end up getting a nominal fee for the lad, which is a shame. It'll be interesting to see where he ends up and how he progresses.

The move would be risky for Neil, the pressure to play at Rangers is massive and I’m not convinced the fans will take to him, similar mould to Rothwell who was a disaster.

The more Rigg plays the less his price tag becomes, He’s been poor for a long time Rigg. He hasn’t improved one bit.

Aye can't disagree there to be fair. Mind it's arguably better than sitting around doing nothing and rolling the dice at the end of the season and hoping someone decent actually wants him.

I'd probably take the move personally, it could be much worse.
