Patrick Roberts to Birmingham compendium

Shame if he's off, good option off the bench for us at this level.

Can understand why he'd want first team football at his age. Wish him well, he has been a big part of the most likeable Sunderland team in years.

One of the worst wingers in our history!

Without Amad next to him finishing off his moves for him hes shocking

Loses possession more than any player ive ever seen
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but for 2 or 3 years every interview with our players when asked whose the best footballer at the club they said “Patrick Roberts”
His contributions at Hillsborough and Wembley were life memories, especially at Hillsborough his run into the box to get on the end of the cross was superb
I’ve gone to every home game and 70% of away games since he signed and whilst not the best player in the team at any point he has been vital to us progressing. Triangles with Amad and Hume were fantastic to watch

Levels.

A championship player who has served us well. Some great memories. Frustrating at times due to the lack of end product, but that's why he's been playing for us in the second tier. Will leave with my best wishes.

There'll be a few more.

Its actually mad to think how much further on the club might have been had we had someone playing in his position who didn't constantly lose possession

Against Huddersfield (league 1) he lost the ball EVERY SINGLE TIME

So many thick fans in our fanbase
You're proving your own point with that last one.

He wasn't dispossessed in the entire game and only had 1 unsuccessful touch, pass completion was 87%. Lee Fee for comparison also wasn't dispossessed, had 3 unsuccessful touches and pass completion was 89%.

Wish the lad all the best. Aye he doesnt score or create enough for his ability, but he's still played a huge part in our rise from obscurity. Personally I've enjoyed watching him play and he still gets you on edge of your seat. His goal down Sheffield Wednesday should be looked at as such a significant moment, to drag our club back on the right path. Good luck Paddy lad and thanks for what you've done 👍
