I'll reiterate his stats (at league 1 and championship level) are shit

Because stats don't always reflect what a player brings to the table. A lot of the time in League 1 and the Championship he was a ball carrier. Teams often doubled up on him and he drew players out of position leaving more space for other players to make runs etc.

You have to be clueless to be this ungrateful about what he offered us up to now. He's not good enough for the PL but he has been an integral part of our team for years.

He's an awful lot closer to our first team than Ba, Pembele, Matete, Anderson, Hjelde, Johnson, Browne, Poveda etc. who aren't linked with moves away.
