Forthcoming gigs.

We've got The Joy at the Festival Hall on 13th June, then Santana in Amsterdam on 23rd. Teskey Bros. in July then nothing until Kingfish at the Forum in November.
Something will pop up!
Well the Teskey Brothers were tremendous last night, in front of about 10,000 in the open air at Ally Pally as a big orange Harvest Moon rose behind them. I've never seen them headline before and they really stretched out. (Maybe a little too much) They're a great blues band behind a proper soul singer. Great duet with second act Jalen Ngonda too.
Carlos was majestic in Amsterdam of course; the highlight of a great city break.
The Joy were OK but I prefer my Gospel with a little more soul and a little less Praising.
Grace Bowers popped up (the next big thing in guitarists?) but then she cancelled.
Cinelli Brothers are playing Upton Blues Festival (FREE!) next weekend, so that's on.
Otherwise it's Billy Cobham at the Union Chapel in October and Kingfish.

Reactions: GTG

I was there last night and he was knackered with 2-3 songs to go and they just went straight into the last song and went straight off. It was clear he was struggling and to be fair he did well to get through it. Not shocked tonight is cancelled. We've got tickets to see him at Hyde Park on Sunday which we expect to be cancelled.
Yea it's cancelled

Is there a reason so many acts are missing a north east gig these days ?

Nee Wet Leg date the latest one
Historically yes but I'm not an insider
Its not a new thing and unfortunately this area has a bit of a reputation for poor sales so you get into a situation certain promoters swerve it . All money really

Off to Fontaines today. Supported by English Teacher and Crows. Anyone knar if it's worth watching the supports?
English Teacher are excellent, I've seen them before and already have tickets for their gig up here in November. Really enjoyed their Glasto set, worth a watch if you can still access it.

Barry Hyde absolutely fantastic tonight at Redhills, with the Durham Miners Association Brass Band. I really like his 'Miners' Ballads' record (which is what they performed) though it's not got any brass on it!

Nice venue too, though it could do with a proper bar.

More brass tomorrow with Bill Ryder-Jones at the Gala, and then the mighty Martha on Thursday.

I am there tommorrow night. Love bills last album, very emotional, and with added brass it'll be heartbreakingly good.

Stereophonics in December, like a bucket list thing for me
Got me and our lass tickets for that. I like when we can do a gig together. Saturday night anarl so it's a night out.

"No hit left behind" seems a bit of a con though when ya look at the hits they've been leaving out of their setlists.

QOTSA have just announced they are playing the Royal Albert Hall on my birthday. Just got to talk the bestie into coming with me.
