Pixies tonight for me
Maybe seen them 10/12 times. Tonight was the worst. First 40 minutes was OK, the next 30 was torture. Frank seemed to apologise for playing half a dozen newer ones. Maybe the only thing he said all night. It wasn't that they were new, just that they plodded along at a weary pace and were very similar. The rest of the show rescued it from being a total bust. They can do so much better.

We've got The Joy at the Festival Hall on 13th June, then Santana in Amsterdam on 23rd. Teskey Bros. in July then nothing until Kingfish at the Forum in November.
Something will pop up!

Pleased I missed it. It was going to be awkward for me to go and as I struggled a couple of times to make it through the latest album, I decided not to get a ticket.

I thought that when I saw them in Leeds. That 30 minute section was death by mid-tempo and everyone was chatting over the music.

Michael Monroe last night at the University - former Hanoi Rocks frontman on absolutely explosive form. So much energy and back by an incredible band including former members of Hanoi Rocks, New York Dolls and Danzig. Brilliant.
wish i'd realised he was paying. been listening to a bit hanoi rocks earlier.

Forgot the Ks album launches went on sale today. Wax and Beans already sold out three shows but managed to get a ticket for jacaranda in Liverpool instead

Two, two hour shows as Islington Assembly Hall and The Palladium by Blue Oyster Cult with 27 different songs played over the two nights including some super rarities. Absolute master class in Classic Rock. Not bad for a singer who is 80 and guitarist at 76. Quite possibly the last time we`ll see them over here.
Did you get She's As Beautiful As A Foot?
😄

No but they did 'Arthur Comics' from their pre-BOC Stalk Forrest days - We also got Astronomy, Flaming Telepaths, Teen Archer, Shooting Shark, Dancn' In The Ruins, Dominance and Submission, The Vigil, Then Came The Last Days of May and a quite brilliant 'I Love The Night' Absolutely brilliant nights. Shame I couldn`t get a ticket for the match but at least I had two nights of BOC to enjoy.
