Forthcoming gigs.

Neil Young, Cat Stevens and Van Morrison on Friday at Hyde Park. Depending on times may go in to see Amble who I've been highly recommended by a mate from Cork.
Stage times are on the app. Amble scheduled for 4pm.

Van the Man 17:15, Cat 19:00, Neil 20:50.

I hadn't realised Van was actually 3rd on the bill and Cat 2nd. Assumed it'd be the other way around.
Was hoping to see James at some point but the planets haven’t aligned
I've always quite fancied seeing them like.

Looked good on the Isle of Wight coverage.

Saw them at Leeds a couple of years back with @Manuel but would love to see them again. Their tunes dragged me through a shitty period 5 years ago

Amarok - Polish modern Prog Rock - ambient, atmospheric and very melodic - a bit like Jean Michel Jarre crossed with Pink Floyd with a touch of ambient chucked in. Anyone who likes Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, Riverside, The Pineapple Thief or Lunatic Soul will like this:

On at Lindisfarne Social Club at Wallsend on Thursday 17th July

Love this - a real pulsating slow burner:

Just a heads up if anyone ever goes to a gig at Castlefield Bowl in Manchester, get there early.
We went to "see" Elbow there last week, we couldn't get there until 8pm but as they weren't due on until 830
I didn't think it would be a problem, wrong!
It had been massively oversold and the only place we and hundreds more people could find a space was behind
a big canopy with no view of the stage, never again.
i saw The Charlatans there the following night but was there for 7ish and it was good..its a weird venue in amongst railway arches and your experience sounds really shite at Elbow.

ELO cancelled tonight. Jeff not well. Took a bad turn on stage last night apparently. Shame.
I was there last night and he was knackered with 2-3 songs to go and they just went straight into the last song and went straight off. It was clear he was struggling and to be fair he did well to get through it. Not shocked tonight is cancelled. We've got tickets to see him at Hyde Park on Sunday which we expect to be cancelled.

By all accounts they’ve let a canny few thousand people into the venue before announcing it.

Wonder what they’ve made on beer sales?

Yeah it got called off at 8.15pm. me and my wife said straight away last night as he was leaving the stage that night 2 wouldn't be happening, amazed it took so long to cancel it truth be told. Fully expect Sunday to be cancelled, just hope for our sake it's announced early to save us travelling and get some money back off our hotel

Just on my way back from Soul 2 Soul and UB40at Tynemouth. My missis won tickets at work, both acts were decent tbf although when you were recently part of one of the, if not the greatest rendition of "I can't help falling in love with you" anywhere, any place any time all subsequent renditions pale in comparison.
