Which bit and based on what? He’s more than likely right on this one.
That he’ll be off to Brighton in the summer.Which bit and based on what?
That bit I do believe, based on the credible sources from January. That he’ll be off to Brighton in the summer.
The rest of what he’s posted including the last 4 games would surely be BSThat bit I do believe, based on the credible sources from January.
No wonder Watson looked so pissedBrighton have just completed a deal for an 18 year old South Korean winger on a 4 year deal apparently.
Here's hopingThe rest of what he’s posted including the last 4 games would surely be BS
Thank god it's not the last 5 games. This is what bob said
"If this is true I will go crackers.
Tommy's deal has been done and he will miss the last 4 games and any playoffs.
Brighton have put this in the deal.
And we have agreed to it, now not a fact but came from an agent based in Wembley.
So don't shoot me till I get it confirmed."
Means nowt tbh they’ll just loan him outBrighton have just completed a deal for an 18 year old South Korean winger on a 4 year deal apparently.
My knowledge of football transfer deals is as limited aa any fan but why would someone post such utter nonsenseThank god it's not the last 5 games.
Loose rumour. Can't be arsed to read up on developments: is this just a loose rumour or has anything surfaced so far that corroborates that a deal has been made?
That’s mad Bob for you, completely full of shit.My knowledge of football transfer deals is as limited aa any fan but why would someone post such utter nonsense
So Brighton have agreed a huge deal for watson who was injured at the time of his medical, came back to sunderland and has started playing in the first team again. However he must not play for SAFC after 12 April game against Swansea. Isn't the Internet brilliant
That’s not the bit people have issue with manHe’s more than likely right on this one.
He's not though is he? Watson is pretty much in the same boat as Clarke was at Leeds when spurs came in for himFor the money being banded around. Not sure why Brighton didn’t go for Clarke. A little more money…10 x the player
The club want the moneyIs it actually a step up for him?
In terms of playing for a Premier League team over a Championship team it is, but would he go into their first team? Probably not.
So they loan him out or he plays for their U21s.
Can't imagine him getting a loan any higher than Championship level and their U21s are currently four points ahead of ours having played two games more.
From a football point of view it looks like a step further away from first team football.
I like him, he looks a good prospect, but maybe the club are looking at the money we got for Clarke and thinking £8m-£10m or whatever figure has been chucked about is a good price for him.
Rightly or wrongly that is at least a strategy - a championship club without parachute money has to cash in on an asset or 2 and it makes sense if its one with a player who's as good if not better already in place to play the sold players position. The club want the money
Maybe they think that Mundle is better and they want the money to help strengthen elsewhere
Time will tell I guess
Appreciate what you are saying but we need to be back in the premier league asap otherwise clubs like Brighton will pick off our best players. Particularly disappointing with Watson as a local lad and SAFC family by all accounts.Rightly or wrongly that is at least a strategy - a championship club without parachute money has to cash in on an asset or 2 and it makes sense if its one with a player who's as good if not better already in place to play the sold players position.
