And as for booing I have booed the team off in the past, but only in games where it looks like they didn’t give a shit. This team obviously do, and I’m sure they were all feeling bad enough without us booing them.
Disgusting that yesterday
The game was exactly how i called it. Disgusting. Call it what you wantDidn't sound like many booed them off from where I was sat. Could be wrong but got the impression that the boos were from a few at the back of the South Stand. Nobody booed around me, don't think many clapped them off though.
In all of the home and away matches over the years, seen some awful performances, I've never booed a Sunderland team during the match or off the pitch and never will do. Others see it differently and see it as letting the players know what's acceptable and what's not, it's not my idea of backing the team but others see it differently.
Was surprised a few booed yesterday though, given it's one match, we're in a good position with lots to play for so assumed everyone would have thought one of those days, it happens. As said though, didn't sound like many and in a crowd of 40,000 people a few went overboard.
As said, in a crowd of 40,000 people a few will go overboard. This is one example.
It was one game, we had an off day after a bright start for say 25 minutes. Lost their way after that.
Calling the performance 'disgusting' is neurotic. Plenty of effort but lacked the quality to control the match.
Personally, I think the manager got the middle of the pitch wrong and it didn't work, which happens. There's no manager on this planet who doesn't make errors of judgement from time to time.

Exactly it is mental to defend it. Disgusting performance from everyone involved play offs it isMental.
The manager needs to find answers? Aye, because we allowed the bottom of the league team to dictate the match and deservedly get something out of it.
Disgusting? Don't be daft, it was an off-day over the course of a season.
I was near the front of the Premier Concourse and a lot behind me were booing. Also it sounded loud on the highlights.Didn't sound like many booed them off from where I was sat. Weak mentality from regis and the players yesterday and not the first time.Christ.
Play offs? Yesterday was one missed opportunity, plenty more to come, although admittedly we can't afford to let too many opportunities go by.
Let's see next Monday. Another opportunity, an awkward away match. Maybe we'll get the right response and go there and win the match, certainly capable of it.
One match doesn't define the season for me. It's how we do over the course of the 18 matches we had left. Not saying we'll finish top two, not sure, and I've said since we had a good start that we'd fall a couple of points short. Either way, I reckon they're made of sterner stuff than you do.
Fair enough, I wasn't in all parts of the ground. Obviously with a roof on the noise is amplified. At a rough guess I'd have said no more than a 100 people in the South Stand, admittedly that's a guess.

One missed opportunity? Did you miss Wilson cock up 2 penalties 8 days before for yet another missed opportunity?Christ.

We don't have the mentality to get automatic promotion.
I wonder how the fans would react if one of pur players came out and said "yeah the fans were f***ing shite today, flat as fuck, and didn't help us out one bit. Then to top it off, totally knocked our self belief by booing us off". Its a 2 way street ffs.
Sexy boowhat other types of boo are there ?
We were decent at Burnley but we're given the 3 points on a plate, twice... we bottled it.Depends how you look at.
A point away at Burnley was a good result that prevented them from getting away from us. We were the better team.
Reckon that's more of an indication of the team's mentality than an individual player missing two penalties.

Just like yesterday when you couldn't ask for a better weekend. 2 of the other 2 play each other and sheff urd lose to hull. We then play the worst team in the league at home who have just been hit for 5 in one half by Burnley. But nah we can't get the job done as per.
This team is good enough to get promoted. Unfortunately they don't have the mentality or anywhere near the bottle to get the job done.
Hull and Blackburn are decent teams though on their day. We had Plymouth ffs, they haven't won for 3 months and had scored 4 goals away all season. Burnley scored 5 in one half against them 3 days before.'Wouldn't worry about it too much because according to your logic Sheffield United don't have the mentality either as they lost at home to Hull 3 nowt, Burnley don't have the right mentality because they could have beaten us when they were at home and put a bit of distance between us, Leeds don't have the right mentality either as they let a 3-1 lead slip against Hull and couldn't beat Blackburn at home the week before.
According to your logic, nobody has the right mentality and therefore nobody is going up this season.
There is an alternative theory: none of the four teams are good enough to win all of the matches they're expected to, and the teams that go up will be those that win more of them. Which two teams that is, is open to debate at this point given they've all had off days recently.
