Booing the team off

We didn't boo but no problem at all with people who did. It's pure frustration. With the team. With the manager. It was at the end so didn’t affect the team during the game. Doesn't do them (players, management, owners) any harm in my opinion to hear that what we saw today was not good enough.

Doesn't do them harm? Are you for real? A VERY young team, having a fantastic season, who have a bad day (heaven forbid), and they get booed off by a section off overweight wankers who think that is acceptable.

Nah, not on at all. The word perspective is needed for many.

Regis said to the press after the game it was to get minutes into Samed before the run in. He obviously thought we could play him and still win. He was wrong.

And of what we’ve seen so far, Samed should be nowhere near the team.
To be fair, I bet most of us thought we'd still win with him in the team, even if we didn't like the look of the formation. If you don't get minutes into Samed, he's not much use, so I can't really blame him. If you couldn't start him in this game, when could you ? Obviously it all went wrong and it now looks a stupid idea, but I don't think it was a horrendous decision, the substitutions were far worse.

Totally agree...... and Sheffield weren't booed off last night despite a much more weighty reason to do so...... get a ferkin grip..... these are glory days compared to the last 8 years or so.

I've never booed my team either, but if I wanted to, I wouldn't be taking any notice of anybody from the smb that tells me that I shouldn't be doing that. Nor would I take any notice of them if they tried to tell me that I can't criticise the players, that I'm not making enough noise at the match, what time I can leave the ground, what I can rightfully expect from the club, how much ambition I should have, etc , etc. Despite their protests, it's really none of their business.

Booing unwarranted imo, but it’s how it is. The mags had a few boos last week after a cracking few weeks.
I wonder how the fans would react if one of pur players came out and said "yeah the fans were f***ing shite today, flat as fuck, and didn't help us out one bit. Then to top it off, totally knocked our self belief by booing us off". Its a 2 way street ffs.

The players will be well aware that you don’t go down that path. They might think it, but barring being caught at a very bad moment, they won’t say it.

This. The commentator picked up on it.

That's not the point I'm making. The point is they shouldn't be getting f***ing booed off full stop.

Small minded, short minded f***ing idiots are the only people booing the lads today.
They were like
Aye they were and that was embarrassing as fuck too. Less so though, given they've actually been in the Prem in recent memory. We have some right bell ends amongst our support.

I thought it was uncalled for, but it’s modern football now.

That's not an excuse, sorry like, but no.

Team were flat today, but the crowd was even worse. Not even a noise when the teams were read out ffs.

I didn’t say it was an excuse, but it is how it is now, like it or lump it (I don’t like it btw).

It's nothing new. Back in the Roker park days in the 80's when I first started going regularly, I noticed there were some people who only seemed to turn up to complain and jeer. When the team was playing well they stood there stony faced and silent.
