Jack Clarke

One things for sure this model if it’s to sell our best players regular won’t see us in the premier league
They’ve always said this was going to be the case and if we sell Clarke, realistically this is the first time it’s worked.

The big challenge for them next would be to see whether they stick to their word of reinvesting in better players for the team as they said they’d do

Based on the recruitment of the last two years or so I’d have my doubts but we shall see

You don’t think he is good enough or can become a top top player because I do
I don’t think he’s good enough on the ball for teams that dominate possession. He’s great in stretched games but for a team that’s controlling the game I’m not sure he has the quality to break a team down.

His dribbling is useful as it draws players, but I’m not sure he has “the keys” required. Whereas somebody like Amad would suit that type of team better.

Amad is not necessarily better, he’s just better suited to the style of a top team

For what it’s worth, if Ipswich play like they did last season, Clarke could fit them really well

Ian Harte 'unable to talk about the deal'.

Because he's too busy knocking one out at the prospect of the money he'll be making out of his little asset. Parasite, like every other agent.

There's a fair way to go before it's a guaranteed 20m and the local press are already talking about being braced for the sale.

Club have wanted him gone all summer for a certain price. Big surprise no strikers rocked up until we were in serious talks about him going.
You’re just making stuff up man.

The “desperate to sell” line doesn’t reflect reality. They’ve done nowt to demonstrate that but some people keep peddling it.

If we get a big offer he may go, that’s football.

The press are saying its been knocked back, Downie using the word 'considering' has made it into more of a thing.

They won't have wanted him gone, mad thing to say. However they will sell at the right price, as they should.

I don’t think he is the best player in the world but the song Clarke will tear you apart is apt, he has the ability to do that and more and for me is really similar to Grealish and Waddle in his heyday not many players are even close to Clarkey

It's a view I've held for ages and it makes sense for them. They were never going to want Clarke to go into the final 18 or 12 months as it will affect his value.

They want to sell players at their maximum and that's now for Clarke. They will sell for the biggest price now, whether its 20m up front or not. They simply dont have the funds to strengthen to team without selling him.

We should ideally be having a budget and adding to that when we sell players for decent money but 2 summers running we have sold players to fund our whole business.

The club has had a feel good factor for about 2 weeks:lol: there is huge pressure on this money to be reinvested.

Give us your opinion what Clarke might be valued at. It will be good to get an expert's view.
Not some of the crazy shite you see posted on here over the years. 40 million plus and that. Now come on

Clearly the club don’t think he’s worth that much either. We’ll be lucky to get 25 including add ones.

Wildly speculating in the most negative way possible. I can guess the usernames who will like this post already.

Whatever happens some people are not gonna be happy.

The price for him isn’t enough

We need to sell as his price will go down

Pointless selling as we won’t reinvest

Well we have reinvested but not enough

We shouldn’t sell at any price

He’s been all over this thread mate repeating himself on almost every page, it’s like he’s trying to farm reactions and then when you debate with him he can’t handle it and ignores you.

Him and his clown shoe mates feed off negativity, it’s dull.

I have no idea what wages we pay.
I was responding to someone who said were 12th for wages.

If we are paying the 12th best wages we won't keep top championship/Premier players for long.
It was funny when some posters used the excuse that we won't sign certain player's because we have a wage structure that won't be broken because then everyone would want a pay rise. Unfortunately the only sure fire way to retain your best players is to pay them what they are worth compared to similar players at other clubs.
