Jack Clarke

For whatever reason, there doesn't appear to have been the interest in him that we all probably envisaged. And that is dictating bids of £15m. Nothing the club can do about that other than eek out more money from the interested party if they are willing to sell for the right price.

'his replacement could already be here' is keep being peddled out as a positive. To me that's just replacing one of the best players in the league with one who can't even get in our team.

Accepting a fee less than acceptable and trying to peddle it as good in the media just makes it worse.

With Roberts, Poveda, Mundle, Ba, Rusyn, Bennette, and seemingly Isidor, all seen as certain or potential wide players I’d be amazed if we added another if Clarke departs.

That valuation is simply so low that it is far better we hang on to him and try to get into the PL ourselves this season, with the attendant riches it delivers.

Using that logic then if he's as allegedly happy as people say then why isn't this being used as a major opportunity to keep him? Talk about a new deal if the only alternative is £15m.

It honestly looks more and more like we want to sell and will for the highest bid we get, regardless of if it hits 20/23m or not.

Must have missed this.
What fee?

Unless the owners and club simply refuse to sanction any sort of fees without sales.

It'll be pathetic to sell him for the figures mentioned

The fees that are mentioned currently

Ian Harte will be desperate for this because as a football agent he’s a nobody and it’s his one chance to get something from a big deal. It’s his job and I get it.

I would have thought a club better than Ipswich would be in for him. Maybe someone like Brentford or Bournemouth.

Ipswich will be back down next season.
He isn't a football agent by the way.

Half those players listed simply can't be considered to be viable first team options for this season. They're just not good enough. Arguably only Roberts and poveda are of an acceptable standard for a club wanting to push for the play offs. If clarke goes and isn't replaced we become significantly waaker in that position.

Isn't that what is happening, though? It doesn't appear to be the case at all that we're actively trying to flog him for £15m.

I'm thinking that way too. People saying replacing him with someone who can't even get in our team is nonsense, because initially, Jack Clarke was a substitute for us.
