Just listened to Second Tier, neutrals who focus on the Championship, who have us finishing sixth. The manager is brand new and it’s too soon to judge, but people are massively underestimating the quality of the squad based on the collapse last season and the lack of a striker.
 

Season with ZERO capable strikers = same league next season (at best)

2 capable lads up top = we go close imo. The new gaffer is smart, but not a miracle worker.

if the owner / speakman fail then it's on them. KLD on record about lessons learnt, ambitious for this season.

Why have you missed out our best players and only referred to our fringe players? :lol: Surprised you included Mayenda mind, he's had a good preseason, Mundle too imo.

They're not really if they're only bit part players.

I'm more concerned about Neil, Cirkin, Elese, Neil, Bellingham, Rigg, Clarke, Ballard, Hume, Patterson, Watson improving and if you can't get excited about those young players you must have your head firmly up your negative bot hole.

We've never had so much young talent, it's class imo.

Genuinely don't think we're that far away, put a 20 goal striker up top and we could even trouble the automatic spots. Difficult to predict until we get a striker in though as we'll not kill teams off enough.

We may have lost to Bradford but I'm shocked someone can watch Mundle play in that game and not seen improvements.

Agree with this completely, although you've put it in a very kind way. I think a lot are underestimating how decent a lot of our players are. Just RLB on his own will make a huge difference. It can not be understated how inept and just how much of disaster Dodds was, has the tactical knowledge and management of a cabbage. This squad should easily be finishing in the top half. Easily.

With a couple of strikers it could be challenging at the top.
Unfortunately we don't have any.(competent ones)
