I don't agree with this, we're almost there but with the glaring issue of no first choice #9 that will hold us back regardless of our strength in depth being fine.

but I will die on the hill that people are grossly underestimating this squad considering it was dodds and beale's negative tactics that caused a big downfall. You play an attacking style with some of the talent in this squad and you do well IMO

Yous can have me life for it but we will see. I have a lot of faith in a lot of this squad.

The same coaching team are working with the same players every day as when Beale and Dodds were in charge

We probably need half a dozen or so players out the door before we can add more.
Our squad is over bloated with players not good enough (not ready)
We've stockpiled players for the future that we may make a profit on and neglected the first team (squad)

That second 11 is pretty much the one that got humped off Hartlepool et al in pre-season, and seeing as at least 4 of the squad are made of quavers, our strength in depth isn’t fine at all.

We’ve got numbers, but most of them aren’t league one level

Pre-season games mean nowt and the "second XI" will never get a full game together once the season is underway, so not sure what relevance that has.

I wouldn't disagree that some aren't ready but as depth they're fine right now IMO, we can't build a squad assuming the entirety of the first XI will all be injured at the same time.
