I’m not losing the plot yet because there is time and we know they like to keep things on the lowdown so something good may be around the corner . I do think the right thing to do would have been get a striker in first even if it meant, within reason, an over pay. Just one in and it would have settled nerves and shown people they’d learnt and some clubs did it. They possibly have and we may see a couple of ins that change things by the windows end but until it’s done this will carry on and it’s painful.

but I will die on the hill that people are grossly underestimating this squad considering it was dodds and beale's negative tactics that caused a big downfall. You play an attacking style with some of the talent in this squad and you do well IMO

Yous can have me life for it but we will see. I have a lot of faith in a lot of this squad.

It’s a valid opinion but how about this for a scenario that’s just as likely to happen.

Le Bris appears to have similarities to Beale in as much as he’s a good coach with a very limited CV to recommend him.

Both men are expected to work with Dodds & Proctor.

As it stands it looks like neither man will be given even the basic tools to do the job by the recruitment staff.

Would it be a huge surprise if both appointments end the same way ?
 
It's Mendys people spoiling the deal, apparently he has an 'agent' and an 'advisor' who want paying extra and we won't cough up and quite rightly so.

I don’t think anyone is underestimating the ability of the squad, but the fact is we won’t go anywhere without a proper forward.

I think we'll look much better and play a more positive style of play. However, the squad remains unbalanced and underserved in key areas. We are 1 or 2 injuries away from disaster, not the hallmark of a squad that will struggle to compete for promotion.

If speakman believes that then he is even more incompetent by keeping said Dodds.

Despite them coming out and saying it’s the club causing the issues, broken promises etc? Or you choosing to ignore that

I'm not suggesting the OP is true but his agent is hardly likely to come out and say 'yeah me and the advisor want more coin but nobody is budging'.
