14 in 92 in L1
He's talking about per 9014 in 92 in L1
Rusyn had scored 27 goals before coming to Sunderland.Imagine signing someone with experience who can score. Crazy stuff.
I'm more sure what point you're trying to prove with that point tbhRusyn had scored 27 goals before coming to Sunderland.
He'd only once got into double figuresRusyn had scored 27 goals before coming to Sunderland.
Not to be a massive nerd about it of course.Important to consider that although his record in Ligue 1 looks poor at surface level, he was effectively only playing 800mins a season or about 9 full games. Of course coming on for 30 mins 3 times doesnt equate to the same chances as getting a full 90.
To break it up:
- 2015/16 381mins over 18 games = 1 goal
- 2016/17 801mins over 22 games = 3 goals
- 2017/18 793mins over 16 games = 4 goals
- 2018/19 764mins over 16 games = 3 goals
- 2019/20 897mins over 20 games = 3 goals and 1 assist
This totals 3636 minutes with 15 goals and assists. Or 0.37 g/a per 90.
And then of course he has since shown how his ability in ligue 2 by being 3rd, then 2nd and then 1st in the golden boot race.
Granted its not ideal that he was seemingly a 2nd thought at these ligue 1 teams, but he was signed for a bordeaux team that were competing in the europa league. He was just a 2nd/3rd choice striker for a solid Ligue 1 side, definitely feels worth the "risk" if we bring in Mendy and another striker.
Quinn lived in Seaham I believe.to offer in what sense?
KLD has out more in than you and never has lived in sunderland..
niall quinn has never lived in sunderland
Problem with rusyn is, his best scoring season came when he got moved to left wingRusyn had scored 27 goals before coming to Sunderland.
Rusyn isn't a striker.Past development and performance for instance. In Rusyn’s case, one decent season ever at the age of 24 doesn’t scream ‘recipe for success’.

Also to add to this. Celtic actively wanted him in 2022 but he chose to stay at SM CaenNot to be a massive nerd about it of course.
Kevin Phillips wasn't well known.Isn’t that the problem though? After 2 years of not signing a decent striker, shouldn’t we learn our lessons and go for someone who is at least a known quantity?
If an unknown quantity turns out great then I’m sure everyone will crow about it, but it will be more luck than judgement imho
He's a natural left winger, old school type. The one who beats a man and crosses the ball, love a bit of that.Problem with rusyn is, his best scoring season came when he got moved to left wing
Stop thisRusyn isn't a striker.
That doesn’t mean it’s a recipe for success.Kevin Phillips wasn't well known.
Flo was.
Like someone said earlier, sometimes it works out for players, sometimes not.
He’s not…when has he beat a manHe's a natural left winger, old school type. The one who beats a man and crosses the ball, love a bit of that.
You cannot judge until he's played in his correct position.Stop this
That doesn’t mean it’s a recipe for success.
Rusyn is piss poor for us and barring one season he’s been poor everywhere else too.
Is it important though…seems like making excuses. If he wasn’t starting it’s because his coaches didn’t think he was good enough. If you’re going on minutes then what about talking about the advantages of playing against tired players?Important to consider that although his record in Ligue 1 looks poor at surface level, he was effectively only playing 800mins a season or about 9 full games. He has been poor wherever he has played and for every club. You cannot judge until he's played in his correct position.
Yeah I agree, he wasn't good enough for a team in Europe for sure but we aren't. As for the benefits and negatives of coming on exclusively as a substitute, tbh I wasn't really commenting either way just saying what the numbers were. As I said its not the same chances as starting, you play against tired player but also have to adjust to the pace of the game and only have 20mins to make your impact instead of working out how to beat your defender over the course of a game.Is it important though…seems like making excuses.
