Ross Stewart

I wonder if Southampton go up if theyd want to send RS out on loan.

Sounds daft considering the money they spunked on him but then hes hardly kicked a ball in the last 2 years, would be difficult for him to get back up to speed in the Prem.

Would be ironic if we loaned him for half a season and paid his wages!
Why would he want to come back man!

How do you think Ross will get on in the Premier League?

I recall Rodney Marsh once saying SKP would not score 5 goals before he went in to score 30.

I am of the same opinion of Ross. Good luck to him and I hope he is over his injuries but I can’t see him scoring many against Premier League defences.
Not like Rodney Marsh to be talking bullshit 🤔

Ross Stewart is a natural goal scorer, if he's fit he'll score ⚽ 🥅

If he could stay fit and is still the player he was in 22/23 then I think he'll do relatively well.

He got 10 goals in 13 games in the Championship for us, for me there was only Gyokores that was his equal in the league, he just wasn't fit for long enough.

If you go back to L1 I think you could compare him to the likes of Ivan Toney, who has gone on to do well in the PL.

As it is though he's had bad injuries so that probably works against him coming back as good as he was at his peak.

So boring seeing peoooe still on about him

Once we get a CF who can actually score or goal or 2 people will soon forget about the no mark
A fully fit Ross Stewart is comfortably Scotlands best striker.
And even then that doesn’t make him anywhere near good enough for the PL

No mark is ridiculous, was nothing but fantastic for us. God knows what you think of most of the other players we’ve had in the last 6 years.

Can’t begrudge a player of that age leaving for money, and I for one hope he puts injury behind him and does well for saints.

I share your sentiments but do think it would have been better for Ross if Southampton had remained in the Champo.

While I agree, people need to move on from him, calling him a “no mark” is way off. He’ll have his chance to show what he can do in the Premier League this season and I think he’ll do alright if he hasn’t lost what pace he had.

Be a long time we see anyone of his quality at the top end of the pitch you'd suspect.

Depressing when you think back to the Boro 2-0 watching him and Amad run riot

He’s not all that young anymore and should really be hitting his peak in the next couple of years, if he can stay fit. His bank balance will certainly be grateful for playing in the PL. A loan move may well be what he’ll get but it will all depend on how Southampton spend in the summer.
