Think you might have heard a murder mateNoisy this morning too, like a scream
Females call is the 'Keeewick' and the male the 'Twowooo'
Although, there is anecdotal evidence of female and male call being interchangeable..

We haven't doused our fido with flea treatment for years because she had an allergic reaction to it as a puppy. That's when we discovered its strength -its active for weeks - and how it pollutes everything the dog comes in to contact with even you and your home.Usually this time of year i have loads of Starlings visiting and nesting, but nothing this year. Just a few House Sparrows and a robin
I was watching Springwatch the other day and they mentioned that pet treatments are polluting our rivers and one drop could kill millions of bees

Probably why they don't come anymore here with the Magpies and Wood Pigeons. Magpies are always raiding nests around here early in the morning, i think there's a few Blackbird nests in neighbours hedgeI’ve got loads of them in my garden - too many really as they swarm all the feeders and table.
I heard an awful racket the other day and when I had a look there was a magpie with a starling chick in its mouth. It dropped it on the path when I approached the window and left it dazed. I took a feeder cage off one of the Feeders and put it over it so nothing could grab it and think it flew away.
Get these on the heathland by me. Would always hear them on the walk back from the pub this time of year. Occasionally pop up a dusk to see if I can spot one.Love this and the Nightjar
