Pierre Ekwah

Anar he’s a young lad but what an absolute Pansy he is . Bottles so many tackles. Taught from a young age not to do as can come off worse.

His age doesn’t save him cause Clarke is about the same age and he’s brave.

He’s not good enough to be this pirlo type player he sees himself as so needs to toughen up or he’s going nowhere fast
Premier league and var will sort him out. Refs in this league Don't protect players like Ekwah.

There's an extent to which it's character with a number of these players, but I also wonder whether it's being coached into them. They're young lads, you can mould them into whatever you want, that's half the point of buying kids (that and you don't have to pay them as much). We have some reasonably big lads in the squad, there's no reason you couldn't teach them to be physically dominant, which suggests we don't want to.

For me it's all part of the same thing, club hierarchy convincing themselves they're "elite", and that they should be trying to play like Man City or Barcelona, and missing the fact that when you have limited players like ours, you need to mix it up and get in the opposition's faces. We're far too passive all over the pitch, and you've got to think that's a choice we've made.

Are we allowed to say weak as piss nowadays? I was a bit away south stand and saw one dropping he should have had a crack at. Bottled it, miscontrolled it, back foot, weak as piss.

I'd be genuinely interested if they are taught that these days. I was, but I'm 53. I honestly think that they may be taught how to ride a challenge and then instantly writhe around on the floor in fake agony to buy a free kick/booking.

He was excellent against Bristol City i thought but apart from that he's been an absolute disgrace since he came back from his dead leg injury. He is a complete liability and a bigger problem than we think. gets over ran in midfield, doesn't get stuck in, doesn't win the majority of physical battles, duels on the floor or in the air. Misplaces basic passes constantly. I think he would probably be best playing as an attacking midfielder as he is hopeless anything defensively.

There is potential with him he can look like a rolls royce on a good day but dear me someone gets him motivated for next season and sell up.

I walked out today saying how the hell did he spend 90 minutes on the pitch. Frothing a bit today, ineffectual first thought to pass backwards. I could have played centre half for them today and watched the whole game in front of me. Nobody to chase, nobody tries to run in behind.

He doesn't have the right mentality to put his body on the line and use his strength and size. This will restrict him from ever becoming the type of player he could be.

Imagine Rigg was built like Ekwah, he'd be lifting people left right and centre
It's all about having the right minerals to excel in the sport and that's a good example using Chris Rigg to compare him against. It's a massive, massive issue within our team at the moment, we're terrible at winning duels by not being the strongest/experienced, but pulling out of tackles and generally not competing for the ball is inexcusable. We need another Kevin Ball, Lee Cattermole, Stefan Schwartz - tough ball winners, not this laid back uncommitted rubbish were seeing week in week out with Ekwah. Thank god we've only got 2 more games.
He needs to be showed videos of Matic on repeat

He’s not Pirlo, or Iniesta. He could be a Matic type
Like comparing John Inman to Iliya Kuriyakin
