Leicester City PSR breach.

If Leicester can win the PL and FAC and play in the champions league and still lose a fortune something is really wrong with football today. From the outside I don’t recall them going daft with transfers either.

Them not getting sanctioned and allowed to be promoted would only further increase the gulf from Premier League to Championship.

Every team thats gets relegated will spend spend spend in a bid to get back up, as staying down and then incurring charges will decimate them. So the Nottingham Forests and Leicesters will continue to abuse the process.

How long will football carry on like this before the powers that be realise it’s absolutely fucked and start introducing proper spending controls to level the playing field?

15m for Faes

They've bought a few over the last few years for sums north of 10m. Aye they made some money back through sales, but they've made some shite signings IMO.

30m+ on Tielemens who left on a free, too.

Of course they will, but they absolutely shouldn’t be allowed to overspend in PL, get promoted using a squad assembled with that money then only get punished in the PL.

I absolutely hate the state of football atm.
Any mention of them being relegated on purpose to take advantage of the PL/EFL regulation differences in some way?

wasted quite a bit on poor signings. sure it was something like over 100m worth of players who left on a free in the summer
They went daft on wages spending, which for me is self inflicted chasing the dream of Champions League. Given they were the only non big 6 team to get into the Champions League since 2004/05 and they were punching well above their weight when they won it then they went for it and have failed and brought it upon themselves.

Realistically there was very little chance they could sustain the finances required to maintain a Champions League team to maintain the high wage bill they ended up with rather than stay within their limits and beings sensible. The big 6 had at least double the revenue of Leicester or more so can afford to have a bad season or 2 but in Leicester's case, not more Champions League with only 2 seasons of Europa 3 seasons later didn't bring in the millions they hoped (and risked) for.

It's ridiculous and the problem is the amount of money clubs throw on wages and Leicester is a prime example. The problem is that the big 6 have around £150-200m more in total revenue so straight away they can pay higher wages. The problem is the 'gap' between a big 6 wage and the next level from the remaining clubs. The wage structure scale is skewed and clubs just risk more and more paying fees/wages trying to chase the 'dream' of Champions League, along with those clubs that relegation would be costly such as Everton.

If they introduced a more level playing field with limits of an overall club wages then the better players would go to other leagues that would offer more. That's why they've brought in the 70/85% rule so at least clubs can't go daft but how will it be ran. Even PSR was reasonable enough and allowed a little overspending but the way the rules are being implemented when required is a farce.

To think they had the audacity to come out and say they were considering suing Everton too.

The ownership stinks and if you want a shit stain of a Director of Football please come and take Jon Rudkin. An absolute abomination of a bloke who has somehow fallen upwards throughout his career to seemingly being the only person our terrible owner listens to despite no discernible skill.

Absolutely disgusted with them. Want them gone by the time I wake up tomorrow but that would take them holding their hands up and admitting they've made mistakes. Something they will never do.

Don't worry though, they'll chuck us a free stale doughnut and out of date beer before the next home match and lap up all the adulation from the Twitter accounts calling it a "class gesture".

Wasted a fortune on transfers this season by championship standards. Spent 7.5mil on Coady who's only made 6 starts all season and the same amount on Cannon who has only managed to start 3 games so far
