Leicester City PSR breach.

In truth a lot of Leicesters woes wouldn't be happening if covid and the old man dying hadn't happened.
No excuse for them racking up debt but they always had that benefactor to stick his hand in his pocket to bankroll em
Isn’t that the whole point in PSR and SCR though, to not be dependent on a wealthy philanthropist who could could get board/go bust/pop their clogs at any moment.

Clubs need to live within their own means, not the means of some oligarch who has nothing better to spend their money on atm.

We’re a prime example; Ellis short got bored and we very nearly went bust. If KLD gets bored then we are entirely sustainable atm.

All clubs by and large are reliant on wealthy owners, whether rules should be brought in to make clubs survive on just their revenue is open to debate, but without owners willing to pump money in over and above what the club generates or borrows it would make the game an even more closed shop. Even more so with the womens game where they are solely reliant on the mens team to keep them going

Personally couldn't give a monkeys what owners put in, but id be a bit more straight forward with it...spend what you like but the money has to be put into the club beforehand to cover the costs, so clubs aren't left hamstrung with massive debts if/ when the owners get bored or it all goes pear-shaped through daft choices.

They pulled a dodgy stroke long before their title win so maybe there IS a footballing god?

I had no strong feelings about any midlands clubs until one particular arsehloley Leicester fan washed up on here telling us all about how good they were gonna be and their catchment area and blah blah blah. I think he got banned in the end. He’s the only reason I raised a smile at today’s news.
