Disney world Florida

I think an £8k family holiday for us has now pretty much doubled. Out of reach at the moment
We're looking at at least 12k.

It'll happen, but will be a one off. No way I'm paying that kind of money every couple of years

We’re on planning, but fortunately the kids are all young adults with partners.
I will get stitched for a bigger villa and a bigger scharabang to get us about in.
They can pay for there own flights and park tickets as they’re all working

Went last year 2 weeks wife and 2 kids of 9 and 11. All in was about 13/14k with spends. Big chunk of cash! That was with universal thrown in for a day like to do Harry Potter. Couldn’t get any dining plans at all. Are they stopped now?

Definitely, very top food places book out months in advance. Even the basic food places a thought was alright.

It's like a major op planning the park days out like , that's needed so you see n do the most you can otherwise you'll miss out on loads.
Aye our lass books them soon as they are out. Sebastians is unreal!

Went last May. Stopped on international drive. 2 adults, 6 year old. Grand kid. Package deal flights + hotel £2300. Disney tickets £1500. (Seaworld , busch gardens and aquatica) £450 all day dining in the 3 parks.. One day universal £500. About £1500 for food.

Its the best and worst part about a Disney holiday.
The amount of planning you need to do is mad, you have to really spend the time doing your research - OR you will come back having missed a huge amount, and you could well come back with a very poor impression.

But if you put the work in - and after spending SO MUCH money on it, why wouldn't you? - then you can feel more at home, less stressed and get so much more out of it.

For example, just look into the best quick service eateries in each of the parks. Its not a huge effort to do - but it can completely flip your perception of the basic food available. That's just a starter for ten!

Some of those package deals you can get for 2A & 2C are fantastic mind.
Obviously not during the school holidays. We just can't take ours out these days

We went in 2017 then booked up again for a 3 week holiday in 2020 which went the distance due to Covid. Since then the prices have absolutely skyrocketed and doesn’t appear they will ever drop.

Anyway we have bitten the bullet and booked up for this year with a dining plan as we were waiting for those to return. We are probably paying double the price we did in 2017, breaks my heart but it’s the only holiday my eldest will come away with us so it’s mainly for that reason.

We went last summer mate and we didn’t get change out of £15k. It’s brilliant but you could easily get four family holidays for the same price
We’ve been to quite a few lovely places, Caribbean, cruises etc, but for me the Florida one is the best by a mile.
We’re pretty laid back, one day we’re at a park for 9:00am back at the villa for 2:00pm, some days we just go out to eat & drink.

Went in 1994 .

On a fly drive as it was own back then.

Got a flight for £199 each return.

Walked into the Tourist information on ID and asked about hotel availability, ended up getting a room for $29.99 per night in a brand new hotel near the convention centre.

Worked out including taxes at £20.49 per night

Car hire was £300 back then.

Got tickets for Holland. V Ireland at the World Cup for $30 each

PS that was at Coronado springs too. The food is expensive everywhere so dining plans - if they are back - may bring that cost down slightly… not sure. Also if you shop at supermarkets etc which we didn’t to be fair

I was there that summer, just after the final.
Wet and wild was crammed full of amazing Brazilian lasses!
