Attendance Thread - Ipswich Town

Correct that's one of about a dozen in 20 years .. Sheffield Wednesday a year earlier didn't

20 years .. we didn't sell out every Newcastle home game

They let us know about that as well
Think that season we hadn't won a game and got stuffed off Swansea 4 0 previous week. Must have deterred a few fearing the worse and think the Mags were expecting a nice easy win, but they should have had more faith ;)

True couldn't even sell out as against Newcastle when we regularly stroked them at home..

Reckon the grounds been full properly only a dozen or so times in 20 years
When they beat us 5-1 it wasn't sold out, I guess they should reduce their capacity then.🤔

oh dear, why.

I cannot understand why people want to do that. Go on and read a book, if your that bored.

Mind, something in the back of my mind, about this site, got wrong over some sort of other site which they flash flooded the place. This was years and years ago.
Wasnt there something as well about some sort of sales channel on tv, where the presenter was from south shields and some lads on here contacted her and she responded with some humour.
Vague recollection of us using fake joke names, and someone even wrote in referring to their partner having suffered a very nasty 'accident' of falling down the stairs (in relation to an alleged incident with one of their players). Quite funny.

I know....but many seasons in past since SoL opened we averaged 40k or less. I've seen them all. And although not sure on numbers (was anybody) the club discounted tickets by different means to boost attendances on top of existing concession prices. Some said if capacity left at 42k no need for that.
We had 10 consecutive seasons in the Premier constantly fighting relegation and apart from one which was slightly less be averaged 40,000 or over in every one.

One season 05-06
we were already relegated in the embarrassing 15 point season
The rest were sell outs
Well done
Borini game was over a 1,000 short one of their journalists kept posting pictures from the press box in the concourse, they were lapping it up the weirdos

Crowd levels are better now than they've been in living memory in England, across the board. Our play off home semi final sold out within about 2 hours of going on general sale. I have no doubt we would sell out every week in the PL nowadays.
& there’s supposed to be a cost of living crisis in this country
