Attendance Thread - Ipswich Town

The away fans were behind the goal on the south stand. The se corner was a family area, as thats where my children and I sat, when the ground first opened. The sw corner, housed the crazy gang.

The area you refer to is the away support.

This was one of the reason givens for moving the away support to the upper north stand.
The away fans were in the corner am on about the rest of that end empty it’s on prem years man ya nugget

Well the question should be to any of those clubs especially the biggest ones.
Let’s just say in the next 60 years you were relegated on 10 separate occasions including 2 relegations to the 3rd tier one lasting 4 seasons.
In that time you broke the record low points total for the Premiership twice and struggled constantly fighting against relegation and the highest you finished was 10th.
What do you think your attendances would be after all that time?
That's a fair point but different to mine.
Last season in League One Derby and Ipswich averaged over 26,000. It is a long time since those clubs won anything ( admittedly not as long as us ) and those clubs did not draw big crowds when they did.
Our crowds are excellent .. back in the early sixties when overall crowds were a lot lower than nowadays we averaged over 40000 for three consecutive seasons including two seasons in the second tier and a season of struggle in the first. I have no doubt that if we extended the SOL, a half decent PL team there would average 50000.
My main point is this .. football is so popular now other clubs are drawing huge crowds now, not just us. Since when did clubs like Ipswich and Luton bring huge crowds to our place. Never. Our away support was fantastic even in the eighties ; now all clubs have numbers following them away.

I’m not denying any of what other clubs are drawing.I just think despite some lean spells numbers wise after all this time of struggle our crowds have held up remarkably well.

What a mistake u r man.
U were clearly meant to dribbled down ya dads leg.

Ya club have been took over by the richest people in the world and ya still on a safc message board trying to wind people up.

If this was the other way round I’d be disgusted in what my club had folded into.
I’d be horrified if I woke up after a few beers on a Sunday morning if I’d been on a mag forum trying to get a kick out of life pretending a was a Leeds fan trying to wind us up.

What a wet end man.
U seem the type of bloke that tinder won’t accept.

Imagine sitting and searching a Leeds badge and using it.

U fuckin snake.
There's been loads of the fuckers on here this week
