Bid rejected for Clarke

This is exactly the outcome Burnley are hoping for with these small cheeky bids. Fuck them, tell Clarke if someone gets to 15m he can go but Burnleys price for him has doubled.

I thought that was weird too, seems unlikely.

Maybe we told him that last summer when he first signed, and our view has changed based on his performance last season?

Possibly, aye or there’s been a discussion when that original bid went in and Harte made an immediate appearance.

It’s possible we are now fucked off with Burnley taking the piss all summer (like we did with Grigg) we said fuck them, they can pay more now.

This is clearly being pushed for by at least one party at our end. And I suspect there’s a reason that £10m mark is the ballpark negotiating figure.

If the club and the supporters are in favour of the ‘model’, then this is something we will just have to get used to. And the club will have their work cut out to replace the contributions made by Amad, Clarke and Stewart (whether it be through him being injured or moved on).

No it's not.
What do you base that question on, other than bollox rumours that bored journalists are spouting?
Ignore the shit.
I sometimes think that when things are going well here, people have to find a way of finding something to piss their pants about.

He will not leave in this window.

I could never be a "fan" of something and constantly slate said thing and the fellow "fans" .

noun: fan; plural noun: fans
a person who has a strong interest in or admiration for a particular person or thing.
"football fans"

So, football is real life?

Make your mind up.

You're either dishonest and no integrity or you're a WUM.

I'm putting you on ignore as you'll blame me, report me and try to get me banned.

Never once tried to get anyone banned
So after the past 28 years of what we’ve had to put up with, you think the current setup is the one you want to snipe at?

No just the lack of real desire to keep our star players

You’d think spurs will have a sell on clause too so that will affect what comes into the club.
20% has been mooted.
The so called ITK Burnley lot reckon we paid £750k and we told him he could leave for £10m.
Even at that. Means we make a paltry £7m on the deal. Not a chance of it happening unless he starts being a knob.

I’ve said all summer I think it’s Harte briefing people on it. The timing of the interview that came immediately after the first rejected bid when he said ‘everyone has their price’ or word to that effect, was too much of a coincidence and I believed then Harte knew how much it would take. Now seems that amount may well have been 10 million.

I’ve still always thought he will be here this season though as I didn’t think anyone would bid £15 + which is what a I thought it would take to get him, and I’m led to believe he’s happy enough here. Obviously a massive offer (everyone has their price ringing again) would give him food for thought though.

I’d have been livid if we accepted 10 million, mind. Seems odd we would even suggest that to him but I do think we won’t be kernts about stopping players go, especially if we want to keep signing younger players as bringing them in and allowing them to go when they get decent offers works in our favour when getting them here in the first place.

I'm sure Harte pretty much said it was 15m that was needed.
