4th test Manchester

Not the point I was making. Point I was making is the groundstaff were straight on the pitch once it was off. They sat for 25-30 minutes this morning when it stopped raining and did absolutely sod all. Piss poor but this isn't something new with cricket in this country.
This is the point I have been making for years, 5 minutes for covers on, 2-3 hours to get the fuc*ers off!

Just got home. Shitter but never mind.

Still desperate to win at Oval and get this to 2-2.

Not too many had us winning this so to go 2-2 and miss out at OT will be a canny result all in. Don’t want it to end 3-1 or it’ll feel lopsided in their favour.

I would take 2-2 as a moral victory against what is supposed to be the best team in the world especially when the first two Tests could have gone either way. We haven't been thrashed - like England of old - in any of the matches.

I don’t think Anderson looks shot. He just hasn’t taken wickets. His speeds are about the same and his control is about the same. He’s had periods in the past where he hasn’t taken wickets but come back.
He's an amazing sportsman. He just hasn't looked threatening for most of the series. It doesn't help when he's asked to bang it in halfway down the pitch mind

Agree wholeheartedly. I’ve enjoyed every test, as we’ve been in with a shout like you say.

I think England will come out of the traps fast on Thursday, can’t wait to see what happens.

It's been a class series so far, really competitive with England really trying to redefine the game. Not always got things right, but it's been bloody entertaining and we still get the last match to watch. Even if it finishes 2-2 it doesn’t really matter that we don't 'win' the ashes IMO, we would have seen a great test series.

It does to me like
