They aren't at all, historically that is.The age old problem of confusing size and success. Are Leeds more successful than Sunderland ? Yes. The truth is however that Sunderland are a bigger club than most of the premier league.
You were a Sunderland fan a few months back ya useless spenk.Sunderland are closer to Leicester than Leeds in terms of club size.

not counted by who?if was organised and run by fifa until eufa took over it and renamed it the eufa cup in 1972 does that mean if an other organisation took over from eufa any trophy won under the eufa banner wouldn't count the only fans that try to diminish its importance are ones who have never come close to winning anything in europeInter Cities Fairs Cup has never been counted as a major trophy, so Leeds have never won a major European trophy, never mind two.
Based on what may I ask . History , success , fan base to population . Genuine question as I am unsure what actually makes a club bigLeeds would have sold 50,000 plus in the prem if the ground was big enough. Every game was soldout at home weeks before the match.
Leeds are the biggest club in the championship by far. End of conversation.
How do you pronounce the cup "Ee-you-fa" or "you-afe-ah"not counted by who?if was organised and run by fifa until eufa took over it and renamed it the eufa cup in 1972 does that mean if an other organisation took over from eufa any trophy won under the eufa banner wouldn't count the only fans that try to diminish its importance are ones who have never come close to winning anything in europe

With the mighty pound as your only assessment tool..the mighty Brentford and Brighton are colossus's when compared to us! We cannot however wave a magic wand and remove TV revenue from football ,its here to stay and until we join the party we are going to be minnows as crowd attendance and fan base are in financial terms nearly irrelevant for teams like brighton or brentford. No we are not.
Crowds account for approx only 8% of revenue.
TV rights, league payouts and sponsorship account for the majority of the rest.
Any team in the Premier League gets a massive wedge every season. Hence bigger than us.
No one counts it as a major trophy. It is laughable that you try to claim it as one. You can stamp your feet as much as you like but it has never been considered as a major trophy, that is a fact, not an opinion.not counted by who?if was organised and run by fifa until eufa took over it and renamed it the eufa cup in 1972 does that mean if an other organisation took over from eufa any trophy won under the eufa banner wouldn't count the only fans that try to diminish its importance are ones who have never come close to winning anything in europe
Since Peace is making his own rule about who's the bigger club, I'll chuck mine in.Based on what may I ask . History , success , fan base to population . Genuine question as I am unsure what actually makes a club big
It was a one city, one club invitational competition. No one counts it as a major trophy. It is laughable that you try to claim it as one. You can stamp your feet as much as you like but it has never been considered as a major trophy, that is a fact, not an opinion.
The fairs cup was by invitation for promotional purposes for markets .........you didnt need to qualify for it ......it became the eufa cup but wins before that whilst valid do not have the same cachet because of the small pool of participants and the artificial way they qualified in the beginning, Nice to have on your cv but like the my 100 metres breaststroke win when a kid i would look a little desperate if i mentioned that in a list of ly lifetime achievements.not counted by who?if was organised and run by fifa until eufa took over it and renamed it the eufa cup in 1972 does that mean if an other organisation took over from eufa any trophy won under the eufa banner wouldn't count the only fans that try to diminish its importance are ones who have never come close to winning anything in europe
The overwhelming stench of BO and gravy is palpable, best of it is the daft knacker won't know how he's been sussed out !Mag.
Doesn't know as he's a MagWhat are your season ticket prices? And how do they compare to Sunderlands?
Nailed it really, you can have big attendances but what is the revenue coming in from them? Ultimately that is where you need the money to improve the squad..Leeds revenue will be alot higher with a similar average attendance.I'd agree that Leeds are the biggest club in The championship (not that it's anything to boast about) but in terms of club size we are far closer to Leeds than we are to Leicester. In fact there's not much in it between SAFC and Leeds but we are quite a bit bigger than Leicester. I agree most neutrals would go for Leeds as the biggest though if asked.
Average crowd is largely irrelevant if we miss out on promotion again. I'd rather get promoted with a 30k average than miss out with a 40k one. One thing I will say is that the likes of Leeds and probably Sheff Wed will take far more at the gate than we will in terms of receipts/revenue. Ultimately I suppose that's what any club is really interested in.
Haha..that's why I asked. I would have expected an answer back within a few minutes.Doesn't know as he's a Mag
OK fair point about the small pool of participants I suppose it's the same as Sunderland winning 14 team leagues in the 1890s there valid but don't have the same cachet of the later proper 20 plus teams leaguesThe fairs cup was by invitation for promotional purposes for markets .........you didnt need to qualify for it ......it became the eufa cup but wins before that whilst valid do not have the same cachet because of the small pool of participants and the artificial way they qualified in the beginning, Nice to have on your cv but like the my 100 metres breaststroke win when a kid i would look a little desperate if i mentioned that in a list of ly lifetime achievements.

The amount of posts you're putting up defending Leeds, decrying us and referring to us ( Sunderland ) in the third person, a cynical person might think you're not actually a Sunderland fan....,OK fair point about the small pool of participants I suppose it's the same as Sunderland winning 14 team leagues in the 1890s there valid but don't have the same cachet of the later proper 20 plus teams leagues
Not all of the ground capacity is given over to season tickets. Attendances should be the same as last seasonIf they have a waiting list then it should be full every game next season.
I know. Football is booming. Leeds are a one club one city outfit with a huge captive support.I’ve lived in and around Leeds for 30+ years .
They would get 45-50k regularly if they were around the Top 6 or riding a wave after promotion but having had my club in the same league as them for most of the last 30 years whether it be PL , Championship and even League One , they’re gates are dependent on how they’re doing and have been very similar to ours over that time taking their slightly larger capacity into consideration.
They have a hardcore and a good amount from around the UK who attend regularly and after that just thousands and thousands of part time/fair weather “fans” who like to wear the shirt on holiday and round the town.
By the way , we have a waiting list for season tickets aswell
