Not a chance the lad plays test cricket again, not even sure he will play 1st class cricket again of any kind. You must be logged on to see media items
Robinson is supposed to fine was more cramp than anything. Not a chance the lad plays test cricket again, not even sure he will play 1st class cricket again of any kind.
Whatever operation he had clearly hasnt worked, the lad is struggling to bowl 4 overs every couple days.
Absolute shame for him and England.
Oh and Olly Stone apparently has done his hamstring and is a doubt for the Ashes. Leaving Wood as our onky fit 90mph bowler.
Not heard anything about Robinsons hamstring issue yet.
There are real issues for the out and out fast bowlers with the number of overs they are expected to bowl. A lot seem to get injuries when they are younger and never fully recover.
There needs to be a review of training methods and bowling actions and possibly a limit on the number of overs bowled if you are under 23.
Yes that’s why I was saying looking at training methods and bowling actions. There needs to be research linking these to physiology and learning the lessons from that research.Could you make an argument for looking into why the likes of Jimmy and Broady are never injured? Even looking further afield at Bumrah, Brett Lee, Mcgrath and now even Cummins by and large never got or get injured
Archer hadn't really played much professional cricket before then to be fair. There are real issues for the out and out fast bowlers with the number of overs they are expected to bowl. A lot seem to get injuries when they are younger and never fully recover.

I hope he can manage his elbow through one more world cup for us this year....but would not be shocked if he becomes a T20 only player after.Could sadly see Archer retiring from 4 day cricket fairly soon and could end up a 20/20 player only like Tymal Mills
From memory Lee and Cummins both struggled with injuries early in their careers and Australia play far less cricket than we do.Could you make an argument for looking into why the likes of Jimmy and Broady are never injured? Cummins was permanently injured as a young playerCould you make an argument for looking into why the likes of Jimmy and Broady are never injured? Even looking further afield at Bumrah, Brett Lee, Mcgrath and now even Cummins by and large never got or get injured

I meant more internationally, because we're the only northern hemisphere nation we play tests all year round whereas other nations get bigger breaks in years they don't your England.Which was my point, what did he do to stop the injuries
I would disagree on the basis of centracl contracts and a lot of the Aussies play Grade A club cricket which we never hear about
