The Safety of Fans in the North Stand

May well have but after the bomb went over people were livid and spent most of the game turned towards the away fans giving them shit so it was always going to kick off.

I’m pretty much at the point of being happy to flatten a few people if owt more occurs now tbh. Fair game now.
Absolute morons throwing missiles down
Lucky no- one has been seriously injured
The club is playing Russian roulette with the safety of our fans

I don’t mind moving tbh. Sat most places in the ground now but don’t see why I should pay more to sit in what I think is the worst seats in the ground. Plus I sit with me dad as who has been there since it opened and won’t shift.

I used to sit in south but the overcrowding was daft and not with the hassle with the kids.
It's the principle of it. If you move to the PC because it's been given to you as an option from moving out of the way, they're putting the decision on you. It's also them admitting there's going to be stuff hoyed but are unwilling to be more decisive.

Where we were sat in the North stand and that pyro was close to hitting a disabled fan and their mum. We felt so bad for them. This has to stop now and the club need to be doing more for the fans safety. After numerous instances now and the club doing nothing to protect fans, I can see a big compo claim coming through the clubs letter box sooner rather than later if this carry on. I just hope the lady and her child were ok and not put off from coming back.

The only way anything will be done is if people invade the pitch next time it happens. Parents should walk onto the pitch with their kids. Men and women need to join them. Don’t cause bother, wave arms about or anything daft, don’t do anything else but just stand there on the pitch and point at the away fans and say you’re under threat of being hurt. The ref will have to stop the game and they can’t and won’t arrest people for doing it if it’s done in numbers and it’s on the basis you fear for your safety.
Safety in numbers. If 100s do it it will end the issue almost instantly as the fall out for the club will be massive.

Obviously there may need to be something done re: location of the away fans, but what concerns me most is that this has happened 5 or 6 times now, and I've never seen news of a single person banned/prosecuted for it.

Surely in this digital age we can upgrade the security system to cover the full crowd with cctv. Do that, press rewind, hey presto you got them!

Why should I move from the south stand….
This is in repose to a long standing poster desperate for them to be moved back to the now infeasible south stand
Where the away fans are out are not my problem but I will fight for my right for it not to be at my inconvenience again after being shifted from the north due to the bcb.

And as for an equivalent seat Mr Blair, There was no seating in the Fulwell or a Roker end ……
Because that’s where the away fans were sat when the stadium opened, right up until they were forced on us. I’ve been sat here 26 seasons now - absolutely no reason to move due to club incompetence

The term “seat” referring to location to watch the match. No need to be pedantic you know what I meant.
Steve Davison if you are reading this. You are a ****
Mods, sticky this please!

Aye I spoke to the club earlier this season about it and made the suggestion that if we move we should be compensated in the difference of the ticket cost (ie move for free) if the situation didn’t improve.

Although if we did move I wouldn’t want to be that high up.

We are right to the west side of the north and most bombs have come down the middle but earlier in the season the person on front of us was hit with a plastic bottle so was nowt really but could have been anything considering what else has come down.

It doesn’t upset me at all, my point is the club dropped a bollock moving the away fans with no regard for NSU season ticket holders who sat there and moved the “home end” to the South Stand.

They will do it again if they see fit and there’s fuck all people can do about it as seen with the original moving of away fans.

I would hazard a guess the amount of NSU season ticket holders in comparison to the south stands was hugely different.

And?
We used to play in Hendon…. 6 we move back there?
Nowt pedantic about it, your comparison was silly

How do the mags manage it? They've had away fans above them for yonks.
Threat of execution

I have absolutely no idea what your point is tbh. You are just rambling here because you might lose your own seat. Go cry elsewhere - this is about the club actually being held to account and looking after its fans wherever the away fans are sat.

If the aways are to stay up there, the club need to chuck the book at the arsehole element. There should have been a statement immediately after the game highlighting the issue

They are in the premier league - if they were in the championship they’d have the same problem.

The reality is, getting away tickets in the premier league isn’t easy. The vast majority of away fans need a large haul of loyalty points and they know if they act up, they will cop a ban. Sadly at this level, tickets make general sale and any c unt can buy one

Excellent idea but people prefer to protest on social media rather than actually do anything physical.
