F1 2023

Just finished catching that up, overall an enjoyable race. The first red flag was a farce admittedly, I could have understood if they had done it immediately, but to wait a lap made no sense. It would have been fun to watch Lewis and Max trying to build a gap to the pack so they could make their pit stop. Maybe an adjustment to the rules to say you can work on a car during a red flag, and even change tyres, but you still have to make a racing pit stop in dry conditions.

I had no problem with the 2nd red flag, trying to engineer an exciting finish to the race is much better done like that when it gives everyone a fair shot, pity the crashes fucked it up. Unfortunately, the FIA had nowhere to go with what to do next, the lap back to the pits/grid has always counted to the race total. The only way they could have had any more actual racing at the end would have been to re-write their own rules on the fly (again) and either allow the cars to refuel or move them to the grid without a formation lap.

Good to see Mercedes looking quicker, hope it's a genuine improvement and not just a one off.

Apart from the incompetence and madness, the main thing to take from that race is that Max drove garbage, yet still won easily.
You could take a random driver from F3, put him in that car and he is champion.

It was nice to hear Crofty put Kravitz in his place regarding Michael Masi. He was harping on about him being in Melbourne in the notebook show and again during the race. Ted is better off being replaced and give Rachael or Natalie more airtime
Aw, does he call out cheats? Bless.

Always makes me laugh that they don't seem to be able to have their meetings on a Wednesday afternoon, and instead shoehorn them into race weekends

Never heard of Zoom, lads?

Lots of F1 pundits are too scared to criticise or question things as they know that would negatively impact their access around the teams, drivers and management and therefore render them useless.
This 100%^^
A sane and sensible person would struggle to get it wrong more ways than they did during that one (which I caught up on today). Three red flags; three safety cars and a VSC. That's what you get when you go racing in Armco Alley. And they keep adding more of them. Insane!
Liberty Media will regret their massive investment when the novelty wears off and the real fans desert in droves. The they will sell to the Saudi's and God knows what we'll get then.

I think Hamilton and Russell feud will erupt big time

Was Angela at there at the weekend?
Russell is starting to get on my tits. Thinks it's all about him and not the team

His whinging yesterday was ridiculous. Team order was to let Lewis into his DRS to start a DRS train to pull Hamilton away from Alonso
He lets Hamilton into his DRS then complains about Hamilton following him

Toto needs to be strong with these two
