F1 2023

Precedent set that you must’ve completed at least 1 sector at Silverstone.

So why does it count towards the lap total then?

We were on lap 57 of 58 when the red flag came. So if that lap didn't count we should have restarted on lap 57 of 58.

Instead we went to lap 58 but acted as though the position changes on lap 57 didn't happen.

Not enjoying how this season is pushing on with the characters in F1 like

Max - whining little bitch with more double standards than your average Tory Mp supported by a horrible team and a corrupt FIA

Russell - twisting his lanky petulant self about Lewis anytime he can

Alonso - digging at Lewis anytime he can then being all lovey dovey when he’s with him in person

F1 missed the good man that Vettel turned into and the Danny Ric smile
Never liked Alonso me.

Anyone who thinks he is a lovely canny softy soft bloke needs to see how much of a shit house he was at McLaren 2007.

Bloke is an utter arsehat.

Always said it’s karma how bad his cars have been for it ever since.

It was nice to hear Crofty put Kravitz in his place regarding Michael Masi. He was harping on about him being in Melbourne in the notebook show and again during the race. Ted is better off being replaced and give Rachael or Natalie more airtime

Has that not always been the rule for as long as sectors have been a thing?

I dinnar. Agreed mind it’s a bit silly.

They’ll defend that stance on the basis that now there is a 3 hour time limit and so they need to get races finished if possible when factoring in red flags etc.

Hi Horner/Verstappen.

Good to see ted having a personal opinion on it.

Too many f1 pundits are scared to say what they think unlike footy. Paddock is too cosy.

It’s why I wish rosberg did more punditry for sky.

I’d guess fuel. As they’ve not went through a sector there can’t be a definitive order, but if they went round back to the pits after a red, then back to the grid, that’s almost 2 laps of fuel, albeit non race pace.

It would never happen, but theoretically you could have a start and a red flag 19 times.

Good point re fuel

The bloke should be able to attend the race. To much tabloid commentary. I prefer the racing and I’m certainly not a Red Bull fan

I don’t think anyone has said he shouldn’t be able to attend.

People will talk about Abu Dhabi 2021 forever though. Up there with Japan 89 & 90, Brazil 08 and 2012.

People will unfortunately talk about it for decades to come and will scrutinise that decision.

I’m sure masi could make a canny wedge writing a book on it or going on the after dinner circuit if he wanted anarl.

yea but it will be talked about in the same vein as Austria 02, Brazil 03 or Indy 05. Farce

I was outraged when I watched it live. It just looked so contrived. My mate was there and didn't have a clue until after but he was fuming when he saw the full thing unfold.
I was there too 😂 me and my dad. Awful. Just stunned silence walking out the circuit after and in the queue waiting for taxis back to downtown Abu Dhabi. Even from a lot of the red bull lot.

Just watching the very final lap now.

I don't understand how, given they reverted to previous order, 2 laps were added to the board.

Lewis has lived rent free in Alonsos head for 16 years now. That must really drain Nando. Literally every comment he ever makes has some reference to Lewis included, from praising Lewis’ rivals to slagging off Lewis himself.

George is just so desperate to beat Lewis it’s bordering on cringey. It’s as if he’s already accepted he can’t challenge for a title this year and his only goal is to finish ahead of Lewis, not maximise the teams potential or anything. I get that it does define his future career, but so does finishing higher as a team and he needs to realise that too.

Max is an absolute thundercunt and so hypocritical it’s stupid. Did you see him whinging about Lewis in turn 3? How can he actually say that with a straight face after 2021? Brazil 2021 and driving on Lewis’ head and he still had the nerve to complain

No one understands the rules mate, best you don’t try to either

One of the many reasons I can’t stand Croft.

Misses half the stuff then whitewashes owt even remotely contentious.

Rather have Alex Jacques (F1TV - not allowed to broadcast races live on that I’m the UK though, and channel 4) commentary instead of bloody Croft.

Jack Nichols who does radio 5 live commentary is really good too considering f1 on radio must be very tough to do but he manages well.

Would like him to get a tv gig.

I just loathe Croft so much man. Prefer even legard or even James bloody Allen who both were lifting on itv and bbc back in the day but still not as bad as Crofty.

100% on this ! Theres always been a negative balance on commentators since James Allen who i hated, Croft is worse

Loved Brundle n Coulthard together, Walker n Brundle, never liked John Watson back in the day either

Awful for Ferrari again today.

Leclerc will already be in Singapore International waiting for his onward transfer. 😂😂

Glad it wasn’t just me who couldn’t stand Allen. Tried too hard to make it all about him and sound bites he knew he would be heard on for decades regards shouting minging lines out about Schumacher breaking the records (not anti Schumacher, just the pre scripted nature of the bile he shot out his gob). A lot like Martin Tyler in footy. Horrid.

Brundle and Coulthard was mega. Canada 2011, them two cracking on for 4/5 hours sounding like two best mates down the pub talking even about local species of birds during the mad rain delay was quality 😂.

Brundle decided to give the lead commentator a role a go for a year and didn’t feel comfortable in it so stepped back to assistant commentator after which was a shame.
Walker and Hunt or Brundle will never be topped, ever.
