Will a wealthy mega billionaire ever put a bid into buying Sunderland?

When they inevitably sell their shares for a vast profit 2 or 3 years down the line. Or, to paraphrase, do you believe that the Reubens are involved at Newcastle for the love of the club or the sport?
I believe the ruebens are involved in it to make money from redeveloping newcastle and the surrounding area in property deals..perhaps redeveloping their own property using saudi money...newcastel wont make anyone a profit in two or three years..the ruebens just chucked another £14m into the club this week..

You believe? Based on what? Also, how the fuck would you know the Reubens have chucked £14M into the club this week?

Yeah I’d love nothing more than watching my team house the worlds best players and play superb pretty much every week. Who wouldn’t ? Why would you ever want to lose or draw a game ?
Plus the champions league provides the big completion which they Havnt won (yet) !!

Would you not want though to visit the likes of the nou camp / San Siro to watch your team play ? I’m sorry like but I can’t understand the mentality of not wanting to watch your team at the pinnacle of club football.
Genuine. No agenda, just interested to know.
How old are you marra?
short had very very serious mony indeed..and spent it on safc...
But he gave it to f***ing idiots.

Loads of money, but nobody to help him spend it properly

And I reiterate,
YOU had the cheek to call me a cretin.

Its a tricky one because Abramovic was a vanguard to this rather than a turn off so there's a bit of copy catting about it.
I'd think the more money other clubs have would be a turn off however much you have because its going to take that much more to only maybe compete with them, you could spent that money and just as easily fail.
I know there's differences but Qatar did the right thing in buying someone in a league they could piss. I'd look abroad but ego comes into it and the PL has a profile.

Mid 40’s. Why do you ask ??
Just interested to see the age of fans and what they consider really important marra.
No agenda, as I said, but just think different generations maybe have different aspirations. No right or wrong answers and no smart arse judgements from me mate.
Cheers👍

No.

When you’re talking takeovers by sovereign wealth funds or mega-rich investors, it’s as much about the city and location as it is about the club.

Unfortunately, Sunderland just isn’t a very attractive proposition and there are better options out there.
Bollix, Sunderland to me is a no brainer for any billionaire to play with his spare cash if you do it the right way.

When you see Sportswashing like the mags I can’t see the point in taking over another premier league club. You’re not going to get close to them, city or United.
Every player who is any good is going to be playing in the Premier League (they almost are now) and there will be enough top quality players in the league for six or seven teams to challenge for the title. People worry too much. The Mags didn't need to do much to challenge and there are plenty of player available to strengthen their team with. Likewise, if we went up there would be plenty of players still available who would be world class. It becomes about how good your manager is then and there is still a lot of room for plenty more top drawer managers to come into the Premier League.

As for owners, perhaps the Islamic state of Iran should play out their rivalry with Saudi on the football pitch by buying Sunderland. After all...anyone can own a football club in England there are no standards to meet.

Don't be silly

i think in a few years if the model plays out and we are sustainable and performing ok, then we will be attractive to not only young talented players but also to investors who can identify how we can upscale the model. They will look the the Brentfords of this world with half the capacity of our stadium and a fraction of the fanbase and definitely see an upside on a moderate investment by PL standards.

Lets get our ship in order as above and see

You reckon once the Saudis are in the CL and winning blood cups regularly, we might attract more interest? Bit like how maybe Man City attracted the investment being neighbours of Man Utd?
Don’t think that’s the reason for Man City. Biggish fan base in a big city that hasn’t won anything in ages
You need someone to sell the club, sell the potential of the club, and sell the general area.

Wax-Face sold Newcastle to the Head-Choppers.

Who is selling Sunderland? Nobody. Probably because they don't want to sell. Happy to be where they (we) are. I'd bet that if we hadn't won at Wembley, they would have been happy to sit rotting in League One. As long as the crowds are rolling in.
Exactly why it took 14 years to get rid of Ashley. Many left but the attendance remains that of an average PL team
Newcastle got taken over because their gullible and desperate fanbase were never going to question their new owners intentions, as much as anything else.
You are kidding yourself if you think your fanbase aren’t the same
What property development opportunities? And how are they only available if the purchased the club?

I'm sure some of them don't, but I bet quite a few do.

Would you really want to watch a team win without it being a battle every week?
Liverpool pushed Man City all the way last season and they haven’t won a CL yet. They are also second currently
