Will a wealthy mega billionaire ever put a bid into buying Sunderland?

I wouldn't worry too much about a new billionaire owner/s. The big money will disappear when the big clubs f#ck off for the super league in the next few years.

Not in my lifetime.
Never can tell, we may get investment when we least expect it, back in the premer league with cash to spend, it most be outstanding to support man city, all the best players signing for your club, and going into the season every year, knowing you will win a trophy, and knowing this season you are within 2 or 3 signings, of the european cup. and the world club cup after that, being crowned the best in the world. must be something on another level.

They really won the lottery the day, they got taken over.

Ellis Short had plenty of dosh, but unwittingly invested a lot of it on players who could only dream of being on an old-fashioned cigarette card - Man City bench has players who would easily have done.

planni permission is NOT the major reason..thats the last step..its all the steps befire that which matter...
why do you think the property developer rueben brithers, who are jewish (so not natural allies of saudis0 are in on the deal)
Yeah, I can just see the business plan meeting, where the wealthiest State on the planet say, " "What we need now, to really step up our global wealth, is to be guaranteed planning permission for some holiday lets in Biker. Lets buy the Mags, and then we will be alright. We'll get Dilly to do the work. He'll be champion. Then we'll be proper rich"

For fucks sake man, have a day off

well thats what KLD did..LOOKED at how the shop was run and changed it..
amd he is a multi billionaire...
But his only business experience was probably running the school tuckshop man.
Just because he's going to inherit billions, doesn't make him an astute business man.
I happen to think he could be, with the right people around him, but that's beside the point.

No reply to my previous post I see.

Ellis Shorts heart was undoubtedly in the right place imo. He simply knew fuck all about football, had the wrong people advising him, and gave clown managers too much money, and potentially good managers next to fuck all.

Liked him, and just wish he had better people advising him.

Should have swallowed his ego a bit with RK too. So should RK.

its what man city owners did..are they not mega wealthy?
it will be a developement of hundreds of property in "partnershi" with the local council...
the council will hail it as a "regeneration" of the area talk of how they "got to know these guys through the excelklent work they did via the football club"
i have posted extensive links to how man city did it above..read those instead of deploying silly rhetotic

"Silly rhetoric."🤣

What is silly is trying to justify their purchase of a football club with talk of "interest in developing the area, inward investment etc."

It is purely trying to wash their reputation on the the global stage, to appear above board, and their regime cleansed in the eyes of the rest of the world.

To suggest otherwise is tantamount to supporting their filthy regime.

Nowt silly or rhetorical in there marra.

of course its repuation management you cretin..
the point is they use that enhanced reputation to make more money as well..they dont want to actually have to pay out investors money to launder their reputation, they want to give their investors in the fund a profit AND launder their rep at the same time...its the man city and abramavhich way. And their global power would be enhanced by them owning trophy or signature assets in cvountries such as the UK..THATs the point of the soveriegn wealth aspect..to have trophies in other soveriegn states..and landmark property is part of that..
people have to get away from

You, of all people, are calling someone else a Cretin.🤣
Definition of irony right there.
Especially as the rest of your diatribe confirms the points I have already made.

It used to be a local businessman who'd done quite well for himself. Then millionaire owners. Then billionaire owners. Now f***ing countries owning clubs.

I'm sick of it all.
