Will a wealthy mega billionaire ever put a bid into buying Sunderland?

No.

When you’re talking takeovers by sovereign wealth funds or mega-rich investors, it’s as much about the city and location as it is about the club.

Unfortunately, Sunderland just isn’t a very attractive proposition and there are better options out there.

When you see Sportswashing like the mags I can’t see the point in taking over another premier league club. You’re not going to get close to them, city or United.

You reckon once the Saudis are in the CL and winning blood cups regularly, we might attract more interest? Bit like how maybe Man City attracted the investment being neighbours of Man Utd?

I could see this happening like. A tyne wear derby with both clubs competing at the top of the tree would be very lucrative. We'd probably have to be owned by a rival gulf state though to compete. If it happened it would be years away, I can't see anyone super rich investing in us due to our location.

You need someone to sell the club, sell the potential of the club, and sell the general area.

Wax-Face sold Newcastle to the Head-Choppers.

Who is selling Sunderland? Nobody. Probably because they don't want to sell. Happy to be where they (we) are. I'd bet that if we hadn't won at Wembley, they would have been happy to sit rotting in League One. As long as the crowds are rolling in.

Or more they had a fit for purpose free commonwealth stadium ground ready to go and all the land next to it to regenerate for free?

The fact they make 300 million a year just from marketing and off field hospitality and the bits they built on the free land they got??
