As I say it's an assumption but the club have hardly handled themselves well if you look at the likes of mustard, onions and now this. Absolute legends of DCCC who deserved better treatment were bunny and the colonel
His statement seems to suggest they’ve done the right thing mindPure guess work, but I don't have much faith this isn't the club having caused this somehow. doing the decent thing and letting him go is one thing but you'd think with the right support in place he shouldn't want to/need to leave.

Diva and Benks also

Aye very true, was thinking they're from a different era in terms of those who were to blame though, perhaps mustard was anarl. I lose track of time easily.
Not seen it. Good to hear. Although (and again without knowing the insides it's all just hearsay) I still think with better support whatever these personal reasons are things may not have got to this point.
I can't imagine rushy has enjoyed the last few years as much as he enjoyed playing with bunny, he's broken his back dragging this club behind him with little to no support

37 next summer
Someone said above he’s been through a divorce. I don’t know if it’s true. But if it’s messy and he needed to leave the area, they’ve done the decent thingNice one, cheers for posting.
Does nowt to change my opinion however that whilst we'll probably never know it's entirely plausible that Durham didn't do enough to make him want to stay.
So what.
Good signing for them. Maybe one more crack in Div 1 for him before he hangs his boots up? Do wonder how he’ll get on considering he struggled with the new balls etc this season. Maybe having OHD as his partner may help out.

Could be. But the tone of it suggests otherwiseWhat does that even mean? Being offered a 1 year contract when you think you deserve 2 could be classed as a 'personal' non-cricketing reason.

It’s guesswork of course
Haven’t a clue. That statement reads as if he’s not pissed off with the club at all, quite the oppositeHe's got a son hasn't he? Why would he bugger off to play cricket at the other end of the country where he will see him less?
It all stinks after other recent departures.
Not necessarily a disagreement, but the club could be too broke to give him what he needs to pay the bills.Could be. But the tone of it suggests otherwise
“A heartfelt thank you” doesn’t sound like there has been a disagreement
I doubt he’d be so gushing. But guesswork as we sayNot necessarily a disagreement, but the club could be too broke to give him what he needs to pay the bills.
