Man assaulted after son wearing black n white in Sland

The amount of mags that wear their tops when they’re out shopping and going about their business is weird tbh. You get nothing like it in other British cities. Odd one or two, but there are loads that wear the mag tops.
I used to work with one of the biggest biffs going and he was the same. Would even wear one the day after we’d scudded them during the 6 in a row. He was a professional geordie mind but they are curious people.

The dad knew exactly what he was doing letting his kid wear a Newcastle top in Sunderland like.. Clearly wanted to wind Sunderland fans up. Obviously he didn't expect it to go as far as violence. I'd under no circumstance let my lad wear his Sunderland top in Newcastle City centre like.. Just asking for trouble.
And after a home match, the absolute moron!

I'm not entirely sure a 13 year old kid wearing a football top is looking for attention, suspect if roles were reversed and this was a Sunderland fan in Newcastle then the comments on this thread would be completely different.

Clattering someone because they support a different football team to you is sad as fuck like  doing it in front of their bairn is even worse. It's football, it's really not that deep.
I'm not sure they would mate, the comments I'm seeing are saying it's a scummy thing to do but wtf is his da letting him wear the top to the cinema on a match day. It's f***ing stupid be all involved.

Totally unrelated but yesterday morning i was in Aldi Doxy and a bloke in his 50's was doing his shopping in a home top walking around like king dick ,anyhow i had just over a half full trolley and just got the last item out at the checkout and put the next customer thing down and he rocked up with a basket with 4 items in and looked at me .

So rivalries aside we are grown men and the right thing had to be done......

I let the tw@t wait !.

A stupid thing to do wearing a rival jersey like that.

But just highlights the all too common moronic aggressive behaviour in society. Such people lack the emotional intelligence in their tiny minds not to react with violence in such situations. It’s pathetic.

The last time I moved, the sister in law thought it would be funny to turn up in a mag top when she was helping move boxes etc.
Fortunately the missus saw her straight away and made her change.
The SIL was whinging saying it was only a joke and it didn't bother her if anyone said anything.
I had to point out that she wouldn't be there at 4am when a brick came through the sodding front window.
Daft arse.

Whilst it cannot be defended, why are people wearing Newcastle tops in Sunderland, it's obvious it's just to get a reaction, I guess they got what they wanted but it didn't end as suspected.
Maybe it’s not that ‘obvious, it’s just to get a reaction’. He might just want to wear his favourite shirt because he likes it. It should make no difference to anyone supportive of another team.

A couple of matches ago me and my mate came out after the match along Bridge Street heading for the car behind Dundas Street.
There was a scruffy minging fella and their lass stood with their 2 kids about 5 or 6 year old, both the kids had Mag tops on even on the bairns they were gravy stained.
I was going to confront him about how stupid he fuckin was, with thousands of Sunlun fans pouring out in the vicinity but I let it go.
There were lads following us taking the piss out of him, but really he could have been flattened in front of his kids and all the trauma identified with that for their lass and the kids.
Totally irresponsible and ignorant behaviour on his part.

But it does, unless you're living in a fantasy land.

I’m not living in fantasy land at all. There are many variables e.g. location, age of child, time of day etc. A person In most middle class or student areas in Newcastle, for example, would be far less at risk of reprisals or even name calling than they would be near to the football ground on a match day or on a Friday or Saturday night out drinking. When I said ‘it’s not obvious’ I was more referring to context. There are always extremes of behaviour but the Newcastle supporters I know would be welcome in my home and the places I frequent. The more odious supporters would pick a fight with their own shadows if they thought they were looking at a different shirt to their own.

Remember going to see Trainspotting when it come out in mid 90's and saw it at an old long gone cinema in sunderland. Afterwards, me and my 2 mates went for a pint in a pub near where Yates is now. We were minding our own business when this bloke started looking at us funny and came over getting all aggressive and saying he was going to kick my head in etc. Proper raging he was was, at first I thought he must have just been pissed or heard my accent but he then pointed out my NUFC little pin badge on my lapel which I totally forgot was even there.
I tried to reason with him but he then went to put his head up to mine so I just sparked him clean out, down like a sack of shite he went. Bother was last thing on my mind but he wasnt letting it go so I just flattened him.
We moved onto to a nearby bar where we then got approached by a couple of birds, I thought at first they were going to have a go too but it turns out seeing me action got them horned right up. Next thing I know im heading in a taxi back to hers to give her the time of her life. Never forget the street name. Scruton Avenue it was called, anybody know it ?
