Busy one

I’ve heard the Oliver Sim album, it’s good. Quite heavy going in places.

Will listen to Sudan Archives, Preoccupations, and of course, Jockstrap. Might give the new Built To Spill a bash too.

Self Esteem has tried very hard to win and is looking like the favourite. The favourite doesn’t always bag it like. Wet Leg I reckon.

He was a waste of a nomination tbh, can see why they did it like - to try and draw some of his audience - but it’s not worked out

It’s not a barrier to entry, the only artists who might be put off are ones who have zero chance of being shortlisted

But at the same time, it does seem sort of pointless / arbitrary

It was ridiculous, yeah cancel the red carpet and the glitz etc but do the ceremony.

Aye and it’s not as if everyone was going home to mourn. I know people who’d cancelled shows to fly in from America. The costs incurred goes into tens of thousands, far closer to hundreds tbh.

Lucky the food waste situation got sorted. Hundreds of meals nearly went to waste as the Prize had no plan in place. Fell upon some good folk in attendance to find restaurants with freezer space.

I remember that year when Fontaines flew over from America in the middle of a tour there just to play.
