Losing out to bottom of the table West Ham for Pacqueta and joint second bottom Everton for Joao Pedro and having to pay massively over the odds for Isak as a result.

Richest club in the world though.

Well Wood is pathetic for £25M to be fair.

He also gave new contracts to the likes of Dummit and Longstaff.

Newcastle are signing someone who I've never heard of. He's a 1 in 4 game striker at best.

I have heard of Erling Haaland who cost Man City £51M 😂

Would Ross Stewart score more than 6 goals in 32 games in the Spanish top flight? It's a yes from me 😂

Isak averages a goal every 2.5 games across his career. He's 22 and will only get better.

Plenty of people have heard of him - you only have to watch the Euros, Champions League and La Liga. If you haven't heard of him, that's more your issue than his.

There's some on here who hadn't heard of Kalvin Phillips...

Ross Stewart, just prior to his move to Sunderland, scored 2 in 19 league games for Ross County...

Hate the ***** but im jealous how good they must be feeling.

Must admit I keep imagining what it would feel like if it was us pulling off £30m/£40m/£50m signings like they have with Botman, Guimaraes and now Isak but then again if truth be told I hadn't really heard of any of them till the mags signed them and this Swedish lads goalscoring record is average at best.

Is this lad any good? Genuine question. I doubt many mags have heard of him.

He’s got to be an upgrade on that Pedro bloke tho.
Did okay in the Dutch league and had a decent season in 2020/21, but seems to have been poor last season. At the price they seem to be paying it looks like a big risk.

Was it something like 250 million over 3 seasons they were able to spend? They must have burnt through a considerable chunk of that.
