This board:lol:, Newcastle could sign a prime Messi and people on here would try and justify how bad of a signing it is or if Ashley had made the same signing the fans would have gone mad.

Every signing that Howe has made since January has been deemed as rubbish on here:lol:, so far the only poor signing made has been Wood.
Just a heads up but Dan Burn is f***ing shite. Targett is ok/average no better than that.
Obviously some good signings as well, Trippier and that utter BELLEND Bruno.

Said it on other threads that football has gone nuts now and no return from it. Wages and fees are obscene. To be honest I've not seen him play but nor have I seen Andrew Gordon .

The hatred of the scum will go on forever for me anyway. I just dont like them. Now I actually despise every saudi flag waving kernt. Traitors to the UK with their love of west hating scum.

Well Wood is pathetic for £25M to be fair.

He also gave new contracts to the likes of Dummit and Longstaff.

Newcastle are signing someone who I've never heard of. He's a 1 in 4 game striker at best.

I have heard of Erling Haaland who cost Man City £51M 😂

Would Ross Stewart score more than 6 goals in 32 games in the Spanish top flight? It's a yes from me 😂

10m a goal for his last season. Absolutely mental transfer fee.
Pretty soon we’re all going to find out that this takeover is iffy, not like the others, there’s no money there, it’s all been a con, etc.

The true test of quality is whether or not you’ve heard of them, so this doesn’t bode well.

Long may it continue, spending the thick end of 90m on Chris Wood and a bloke who scored 6 league goals last season. Hopefully add another 25m to that total for a bloke who scored 3 goals last season.

Realistically if you get drawn against a top 6 club early doors you won't be giving the cup a real go.

In the last 9 years the league cup had been won by Man City 6 times. The other teams to win it are Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool.

In the same period the FA Cup has been won by Arsenal 4 times, Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd and Leicester once each.

So out of 18 winners, 17 top 6 sides have won the cup. Even Spurs who are way better than you lot currently haven't managed to win a cup final.
Nothing anyone can do about a random draw. What i mean, which i am sure you know, is field the strongest team we can. If we do that and are beaten, by Top 6 or not, i will be happy.

I'm sure you're over the moon that you're going from Chris Wood, 3 league goals in half a season, to Isak 6 goals in a full season.

Oh hold on...

Yeah, you’re right. This is really terrible for NUFC, absolutely terrible, like everything else.
You lot will still be talking about Chris Wood when we win a trophy man :lol:

I disagree:

- Trippier - great signing and fortuitous he wanted back to the UK and no one else wanted him/could pay;
- Bruno - incredible. How they signed him god knows;
- Pope - great keeper. Happy to see him deputising for JP for England;

- Burn - functional and kept them up. Poor passer so won't be in a side dominating possession;
- Targett - as above;
- Wood - needs must. Way over priced but was necessary for Eddie "tactical genius" Howe version of Hoofball to keep them up.

I don't recall anyone saying otherwise?

I admire your honesty, I find I refreshing that you haven’t been brainwashed not like some of your ilk on here
This new regime was welcomed with open arms, just like Ashley was. The reason for that welcome is / was money.
Had Ashley sold to a consortium of NE business men, thus removing Ashley, with less expendable capital than Ashley made available would the welcome have been as universal?

Don't hold your breath for that trophy 😂

Have you ever actually watched your team properly?

Teams containing Dan Burn, Matt Targett, Almiron and Joelintin will not be winning many trophies any time soon 😂
