Point is if you remember when your fellow NUFC fans were wanting the government and the football authorities to overturn the intital decision to not allow the takeover there was actual on people on the news and social media how the take over would have benefits for the entire north east region (not to mention ludicrous claims it was affecting some NUFC fans mental health).

Since then there has been nothing about investing in this region and it's simply investing into Newcastle United and the only people to benefit will be you and your fellow mags in becoming even more arrogant. They couldn't give a flying fuck about the region.

Youse are all getting your knickers in a twist about this investment in the “reejun” carry on. The football team comes before anything else at the minute. Once we’re up and running then I’ve no doubts that will be looked at. Also it’s been conveniently forgotten on here that Mandy hired a mackem company in to do all the work regards moving shearers statue. That’s a good start surely.

Depends how you want to spin investment. A successful club that develops a global outreach and a wide fan base does wonders for tourism as one example. Not all 'benefits' have to be direct investment projects.

There's definitely logic in the idea that if PIF have a shareholding in the region, and a large one at that, they're more likely to look at investment opportunities in that area. Ruben brothers already own quite a bit of land in the area and that's probably why they were brought onboard, along with their wealth of course.

As pointed out to you before, the Saudis have/are already investing in the region. You keep saying the same thing and you're just plain wrong.

Surely you've read the articles that were directed your way and found that the investment is very much in Teesside. Which if you didn't already know is very much not Newcastle or Newcastle United.

If you want to be pedantic, an argument could be made that investing in Newcastle United itself is investing in the region and local NE economy in a multitude of ways.

Just because you can't/don't see it doesn't mean it's not there.

It's such a weird hill to die on. Pick the other far easier and far worse wrongs of the Saudi regime and rip them a new one on them. But this investment thing is such a non-starter. Anyone half educated can pick out multiple economic benefits a takeover has for the region if it goes on to be successful.
