Pope is the best English keeper by some distance. Old little arms has far.to many mistakes in him

How many games has he played for your lot and you think he’s “ some distance ahead “of the current England goalie- who has just got an assist due to his technical ability with the ball at his feet ?which got his team out of jail ( as did his saves ) Pickford has been very good for England -and will continue to be Southgates pick .

Thoughts? Agree. Pickford is flawed IMO, Pope more consistent and more potential to improve.

When did Pickford have a bad game for England, someone must know.

They'll have been some games where he hardly had a shot to deal with. He is a good keeper, but no Buffon, Nuer, Casillas in their day, and to win the Euros or World Cup you generally need a keeper of that standard, we currently haven't got one in England, so looks like we'll have to soldier on with Pickford.
