NUFC/Sportswashing - Summer 2022

Whilat I think you sometimes argue for the sake of arguing I do respect this viewpoint mate.
I would likely be the same though I certainly wouldn't have taken to social media to defend the state as many have done. I would defend my club and that would be it.

There was a bloke the other week who put some anti SAFC comment on an "away days" page on Facebook. Clicked on his profile and his profile pictuers have been, Wycombe's badge (fair enough but a bit odd), the Saudi flag and, on the anniversary of 9/11, I presume, a picture of the twin towers. Absolutely barmy.

I do get caught responding to all sorts of crap, you're right. Need to work on that because it gets me nowhere.

And the twitter mob are atrocious. Seem to be on a mission to see who can post the most awful shite in the name of my club.

Anyway, cheers for looking past club allegiances and taking the posts at face value

I am discrediting him. He positions himself as fighting for an end to sportswashing when it's clear from that post that he's not about that at all, he's just against NUFC
So, ultimately, you are on here to fight the corner of nufc? I would say you are discrediting yourself rather than Exile imho
Exile does a decent job of discrediting himself, considering his interests and the number of likes/retweets he garners on his posts on Twitter (the overwhelming majority of which are in single figures)

Well I say discrediting, he'd have to have any credibility in the first place for it to be removed.

He's basically the Twitter version of a midgie. If a midgie was grown man and followed 14 year olds on Twitter.

I see he is under your skin also. He must be doing something right

You liked that post. Didn't you bother reading it?
As a 40 year contributor and member of AI I think I have the relevant background to call them out for what they have become - see their latest apology re: Ukraine as the latest example of them losing what drove them forwards in the first place. They're losing credibility and relevance all of the time by what they have become which saddens me deeply. But then, you knew that anyway and just continuously try to deflect from a straghtforward question, so, back to Sheikh Mansour - I'm still waiting for your credible evidence of him directly being involved in sportswashing. I'll wait while you get Google fired up.

At what point have I said either aren't sportswashing exercises?
PSG were only formed in 1970 and are a plastic club imo. Newcastle are very much thr opposite

26 years ago was it? Its like us in 1999 saying we'd won the cup "not so long ago".

It'll tune into the dafties who are still trapped in that time mind
Oh 100%, he knows how to get the idiots on side he’s playing them for the fools they are.

Strange times indeed!
A couple of years ago, we used to meet up in the club before the bus came to pick us up, we’d all be on the hoy.
Nowadays, we sit reservedly sipping our alcohol free drinks. Snake belts and tea towels are passed around, and we strategically place them on our heads. Just before leaving, the bar staff come round with a big jug of gravy and anoint our headdress and shirts. And on the way up on the bus, we’d all practice our Geordie accents.

That was a joke by the way, I’m sure some on here would believe it.
I wouldn’t try stand up marra if that’s a joke

Then again might be worth watching

Whataboutery: the technique or practice of responding to an accusation or difficult question by making a counter-accusation or raising a different issue.

Which is exactly what you did. Man City are not state owned and PSG are a plastic club with zero relevance to our game. Both have been used for PR reasons (Man City maybe less so).
Warraboot buying Maddison?
Warraboot buying Paqueta?
Warraboot peoples heads that they're just about to lose?
Warraboot Twitter and Disney?
Warraboot filling up your car?
Warraboot all those salty mackems crying from afar?
Did we ever stop to notice,
All the blood being spilt on the floor?
Did we ever stop to notice,
We mags are still deluded that's for sure?
Ahh haa ahhhh arrrrr!
Ooooh hoo ooo ooooh!

The bites on this are going to be epic :D

The Queen has had her say, of course you have!

The bites will be funny but the harsh reality is that our support is going to be eroded in the coming years. I live in Ryhope and even there I've seen an increase in Mag attire. The other week at work in the staff canteen a lad on our table who isn't a massive football fan but always seemed to side more towards the lads was on his phone buying tickets for him and his bairn for one of their friendly matches. This is what SAFC is up against.
