Ashley Fletcher

If we'd have signed someone with a bit fight than could finish to replace Grabban instead of this shit head we wouldn't have gone down (and a goalkeeper with working limbs)
It's the butterfly effect though. If we hadn't gone down, would Ellis still be in charge? Would we be worse off than we are now?

In fact, I'm almost glad we didn't go up with Donald and Methren in charge, chances are we'd be yo-yoing between the leagues with them still at the helm.

Fair points, we needed a good clearout. Just would have been nice to be able to do that without dropping another level.

So they would have Wyke, Keane, Lang, Broadhead, Magennis, Humphrys & Fletcher as forwards.

Don't see where Broadhead is going to fit in for them.

I’d imagine broadhead would be first choice. Keane seems to play just off the front and Lang and humphrys play out wide. Less said about the other three the better

I said this the other day. I’m calling bullshit on the reason. The facts are that Broadhead’s games played were limited by his own body/ injuries. Not by Sunderland. We have 2 strikers they have more. It’s patently obvious that he’s signed an Everton contract and either Wigan paid Everton more towards the loan or what I think is the case he picked a club geographically down the road. That’s his choice but he should have the balls to say it.
We already have Simms from Everton, and I think you're only allowed one loan per PL club. So Broadlead was only ever going to be a permanent or nothing.

I think it’s Marcus Stewart at gillingham sept 10 2004

this was a bittersweet moment tinged with grief. My mam died the day before and Stewart was her favourite safc player

We still could have had him on loan technically I think couldn’t we? If he signed an Everton contract it’s a financial decision. I just don’t think it’s about not playing matches.
