Anyone bothered?

I'm always bothered when we lose.

And I have to question our 'fans' who don't care about cup competitions.

Like I said on the other thread- we pat ourselves on the back about 1973, and it's mythical status... then 'not bothered' about a Cup competition?

Don't trot out the 'it's only the league cup' bollox. We might as well say 'it's only the Championship', therefore the only thing that matters is the Prem- in which case, I guess the real trophy to aim at is m.o.n.e.y.

I cannot believe people typing 'I didn't even check the score' and other bullshit.

Anytime someone pulls on that shirt I'm wanting a result, and I want them to earn the honour.

Fancy playing for us then reading on here so called fans saying 'I didn't even check the score', 'I'm not bothered'.

Spot on mate.

My boys first away match. He was bothered like. Wanted to leave on 75 mins. He'd had enough, said this is the worst he'd seen us play and off we went.

To make 11 changes was pathetic, we could have made 5 or 6 and had a good enough balance in the team to at least make an effort.

He made no attempt to win. Brought on unproven kids when we had Clarke and Simms on bench.
Dear me. We were two nil down, what would be the point in risking a key player?

Always the same here, our supporters need to reassess how they feel about the cups.

Nonsense. The league is where we need to focus.

Couldn't give a toss about the cup, it was just the performances and the lack of effort of the fringe players that was disappointing.

I thought players like Roberts would have wanted to put on a bit of a show. Matete doesn't even make the match day squad and he's never going to on displays like that. Embleton looked well off the mark. Winchester looked like a fan that had won a competition to play and Onien was just plain shite, as usual.....You expect one or two poor performances, but not a full side.

Thank god the transfer window is still open for a few weeks yet.

Had opportunity had 1-0 down.
Should have brought them.on for beginning of second half. Why wete they on the bench if he had no intention of using them . He gave the game away

If he’d brought a first team player on and they got injured I would have been f***ing furious, even if we went through.

100%.

I've been looking forward to this game all week, so has the bairn, and I let him stay up late to watch it. And genuinely looking forward to see how far we can get, hoping with a lucky draw we might go on a decent run.

So it is disappointing to see the team and the manager put so little into it. But for me it's baffling to see so many fans see they don't care that we lost, or even that they are pleased we lost. I mean, did they cheer when Wednesday scored then?

If that's genuinely the attitude, then I really believe we should not play these games at all. What's the point of a game or a competition with this attitude? The whole thing is just a mockery.

It'd be better not to play at all than to play games the club and fans don't care about and even actively want us to lose.
