As said it was possibly a taxing. There's a world of difference between killing someone who is intruding when you're in, against popping round armed to the teeth after watching them on your phone.
You haven't followed the case, I've read it since day 1, whilst I'm all for whatever happens to them there and then, good.
They went round tooled up, stabbed him left, went back stabbed him, went out stabbed him then tried to run him owa when dying..... also sounds like it was a taxing not a burglary
I think you can if you believe you or your family are in danger.I'm not a wrangun and have two young children....I'd like to believe if a criminal entered my home I could take whatever actions necessary to protect them.
This.Break into someone's house and you may have to pay the price. He did.
Tough luck
Shocking…million miles away from self defence when a scum bag breaks in while you or family are actually there and threatened.Burglar 'targeted drug stash' in killer's home
Judge Menary said Karl Townsend's defence was "frankly absurd" and that "this was not a home invasion with a terrified occupant"www.liverpoolecho.co.uk
Break into my gaff and you find out what it's like to be an NHL winger skating up the boards with your head down.

Judges comments reflect the level of violence
Once you decide to enter somebody else’s property with an intention to rob the place you should lose any rights to protection.
hopefully this will be appealed ?
After reading that he deserved the 19 year. Absolute scum bags all roundBurglar 'targeted drug stash' in killer's home

Just read the report mate and commented further down. Horrendous.Seems it was a drug dealer taxing another dealer. Not much sympathy for either of them.
Hopefully not.
Indeed initial reading of articles had me thinking 19 years seemed steep, then you read more and he was clearly an scumbag who wasn’t protecting his family but rather his drugs.Goodness @Lumber
There is a world of difference between the BBC article and this one. No mention of the car, the running over, the severity of facial stabbing or the drug dealing fuelling it all.
I think having read that I would significantly revise my opinion on the length of the sentence.
Obviously more to the story.Indeed initial reading of articles had me thinking 19 years seemed steep, then you read more and he was clearly an scumbag who wasn’t protecting his family but rather his drugs.
The level of violence as well
