The Safety of Fans in the North Stand

Sadly that’s a byproduct of Coventrys ridiculous statement.

It’s now up to the club and NP to release the photos of the culprits and make an example of them. The f***ing arsehole that chucked a bottle should go to prison
Spot-on. You break a glass intentionally in a boozer to hurt someone and you're looking at time. This is more dangerous due to the speed it'll have come down and with kids there! Vile and the prick deserves everything that comes to him.

I just find it amazing that Ccfc can release that kind of statement against the backdrop of SAFC and NP confirming to them that a bottle was thrown, as well as the smoke canister.

I dont think it matters that there are kids there (having said that I hope it would increase the sentence) but I hope they catch this idiotic coward

You're relying on CCTV picking out someone amongst a rowdy crowd, having to identify a hand it came from. Much more difficult than people think.

Then, if they do, it's an away fan, so you're essentially relying on someone else from that club identifying them and then grassing them up.

I just can't see it happening.
That's what I heard today also ,, gone through 11 hours off CCTV trying to pick-me-up arm from 2 thousand fans ,bit they will get him

Just hope that WMP take CCFCs attitude on this badly and release their own statement. Although that said the tone of their matchday police team doesn't fill me with much hope.

From the horses mouth they claim to have identified where the bottle came from in the CCTV images and passed to WMP.

The question that should be put to Coventry is why is their fixture against Sunderland a Cat C game? At their home fixture against us, when Catts scored, the WMP report exonerated Sunderland fans of any blame with regards to the trouble after the match. Yet it’s Cat C?

That road where they park the away coaches is a danger just in general, can't see a bloody thing once the sun sets. Must come across as proper tin pot for visiting fans.
Was there bother after the match today?
Not sure as was away on holibobs.
Loads games last few years has been a bit edgy walking along there.
Some teams this year stand out as potential trouble .
Would like to think the club has this covered as it’s been flagged up numerous times .

Walking through a bottle neck full of Millwall buses, in the dark, with no coppers.
Champion.

Worse on a night match ,sometimes be lucky if there's 2 coppers along there

I am f***ing fuming. Yet again, the club have let us down. Unless something changes someone will get seriously hurt.

I don’t know if @Guinness Guzzler can help, but we need dialogue with the club.

With regards to Coventry, their fanbase is f***ing scum. Apparently those that attended today were their SC holders with a shitload of loyalty points and yet they chucked smoke bombs and a f***ing glass bottle.
Nah mate, it went to general sale, even then, they couldn't sell them all.

I have mentioned previously, I walk past the away coaches going to the ground, but leave past the front of the baths and towards the queue for the park and ride.

Half that trouble was the police's fault as well. Had us all funnelled down away from the ground (and where the police were) straight into an open field where all their fans were waitimg after standing all the way down the fencing screaming abuse.

It's not good walking past those away buses on a night. Take my car for night games so walk that way and generally and quite often tension. Sheff Wed was the worst.

Walked alongside a man with his young son and felt sorry for the kid as he was quite clearly bricking it.

Could barely make anyone out in truth.

Club are quite pathetic as cant even have 5 a side lights on. They used to but stopped and I've only seen coppers there once .

We need a bank of high resolution cameras covering the away fans````hanging from the roof facing them…with enough cameras of enough quality the offenders can easily be identified and apprehended during, after the match or at a later date.
the Police need to be in the ground also …..their absence is an utter disgrace.

But that would cost money................................... As someone mentioned before, as this has already been highlighted to the club I wonder how they would stand legally if that bottle had cracked someone's head open

When we did the stadium tour it was said that the camera system back then 15 plus years was good enough to pick out an individual face anywhere in the ground

Half the time you have to turn the light on the phone just to see.
As you said even if they turn the 5 a side lights on for 45 minutes ?
