I see a few mags are getting a bit annoyed about the ticket prices for their forthcoming friendlies.

The reality is; as the club needs to increase revenue massively, prices are only going to go up.

As a major rebuild/new ground will be extremely expensive, and years away, a lot will start to get priced out as they seek to remain with FFP whilst still investing in the team

Ticket prices are rising, while Mike Ashley is guilty of possibly at worst being a disinterested badly advised owner, he kept prices low…prices will rise and the club don’t care if Dave from Byker can’t afford it, because the plan for success will bring in deep pocketed tourist fans that fill up the likes of anfield and old Trafford.

As I’ve said before, The fanbase is now dominated by a generation who grew up under Keegan and Robsons reigns where 5th was judged a failure. The biggest pain they’ve had is 2 relegations followed by immediate returns. They don’t remember McGarry, Sack the Board, Lord Westwood, Richard bloody Dinnis and years of misery and now they sit on podcasts and pontificate it was always top 10 finishes and European football and it bloody wasn’t.

I maintain Howe will leave this season, he’s the Mark Hughes of the revolution so to speak but I think he’ll go because he’s clear from day one he’s a hands on manager and that’s why Ashworth is now there and does Eddie Howe excite in foreign lands? Nah, would MBS pose with Howe? Doubt it. Jose will be in at some point and the Sir Bobby links will cause the Wear to fill with vomit.

Have I renewed? Yes as I’m on a deal. Therefore am I massive hypocrite? Possibly yes. I genuinely haven’t decided whether to go or pass the ticket to my nephew.

I just don’t like ‘my day’ of beers with the lads, craic in the pub and the normal working class lads and lasses around me being essentially an approval of our real owners…and that’s not an easy call.

Spot on. Biden is a scumbag with a proud career of scumbaggery to look back on, but many people seemed to naively believe he'd deviate from the well-established US political tradition of looking the other way (to put it kindly) on Saudi atrocities just because he isn't Trump. He's nobody for anyone to be basing their moral stances on.

Fender is just a gormless kid who knocked out a couple of decent tunes, but has become a professional Toon Toon pantomime act - no show complete without a bottle of Brown Ale or backing band member in an oversized replica kit from a season before he was born. Strange how he never seemed that bothered about football before they were bought by mega rich murderers, but hey ho.

There was a mag on here who felt the same. I posted to him that for the likes of him I really hope he gets his club back. The lad was @Professor Yaffle . The others who revel in it I cant stand them in truth. That's the ones on here or not who are full of whataboutery. Shameful support of a tyrant , but leading governments are also pissing me off . Oil speaks.

Fair points well made.

I suspect that there are many like you. Problem is that these voices will always be drowned out by the vocal elements of your fanbase who are a little more "colourful" and who crave attention. Football (especially at Newcastle it seems) is often a "Hive mind", and the opinion of the vocal fans is the accepted one for that club, and anyone who dare criticise it is shot down instantly.

You've got a ticket, go to the game, "support the team not the regime". Never before at your club has that line been so appropriate.
